Yeah the show has many characters and it’s a mystery so of course it’s confusing. In the end though, everything…
If you paid enough attention in ep 1, you should know, why he killed almost the whole family. He wanted to kill just the wife, but the husband appeared, so he killed him too, and he also recognized the two boys in the car. He was unguarded and he thought he is the cleverest person in the world (interrogation room). That was the big answer for why he killed the parents and attacked the boys. We are talking about psychopath serial killers and they pictured them in a surprisingly accurate way. But it is not the whole story. Nothing unnecessary in this show, so you should pay attention for the little details too. You will see what happened with the kid, and later on, why that happened.
Many characters, confusing beginnings, but above all - very unrealistic first episode. Killing 4 accidental people…
There is an answer why these characters act like that. And the serial killer is a psychopath (they minimally or don't feel fear) who has a motivation but it will turn out later on what was that. There is no random thing in this series at all. It is just ep 1. You will see everything have a purpose why they were shown the way you can see here.
He is investigating tho? And tbh all evidences point out to Yohan.
I agree with you. And that's lead to the other problems. A too emotional judge can be easily manipulated by his own feelings and other people, they just have to find out what things can make him switch his mind about things. (And Yohan knows that, so he could make his water bottle trick with the expert to shin a little.) You just have to summon the right person to the hearing. And what would happen, if the defendant is a not so well-mannered person but he/she is innocent? He is too inexperienced and young for this job.
He is investigating tho? And tbh all evidences point out to Yohan.
Maybe he knows the rules, but it is not enough. He can be easily manipulated, the manipulator just need to know his mindset (we have seen this in the episodes), he hasn't got a strong presence and mind, also unstable with his own thoughts. He is inexperienced and it was seen before and until the so called trials. So I don't think he is perfect for a judge. He needs time, more experience and proper guidance. He has to grow up before he become a good one. At this moment, for me, he is (as a judge) just... meh or in a lower state.
He is investigating tho? And tbh all evidences point out to Yohan.
But he is not neutral (and mature) enough to be a judge. The same for Yohan with his mental issues and attitudes too. These are not trials! They are some kind of revenge TV programs shown as trials where the public and the main host can enjoy themselves with punishing the bad guys who were selected by the so called judge, nothing more. And for this type of show, Yohan is the perfect choice. He is a real showman and this is what the public want to see from him. I don't mention his bad intentions towards his newly gained power, and his other actions in the cases.
He is investigating tho? And tbh all evidences point out to Yohan.
Yes, a little, but makes him feel regret would make him even more romanticized and much more further from the reality than now. Gaon is the typical good guy. And his mindset is why I think he is not good for his job. And If he want to be a real judge, he should go through development. That was my point when I wrote about him.
He is investigating tho? And tbh all evidences point out to Yohan.
I don't think Yohan will learn anything, because He's a dark hero. Mainly a villan who has some sort of mental issues, maybe he is a sociopath or psychopath if you think deeper about his behaviors. He is similar to another very unique and interesting tvN drama character from this year, just Yohan is not a serial killer... right now. He would be another romanticized character with ASPD if they make him think deep about his wrong doings and regret them. So it would be evident that Gaon should learn the lesson to not think everything is black and white and every people are good in their core, and think about his own actions before he does anything. But who knows, Maybe he will die before that. It is a crime show rather than legal, somebody important from the good side have to die as usual.
He is investigating tho? And tbh all evidences point out to Yohan.
He is over all an inexperienced young boy, who think, he is very clever because He is now an assistant judge. But we don't know yet, why he was chosen for this position for real. He is too naive. I hope the character will learn the lesson in the end of the show.
I feel like Ga on's character will have a development arc....he was planted into the court without prior experience…
Yes, he is a very dangerous sociopath and we don't know his real motivations. Also, He is a dark hero, so he isn't doing the thing for just his own greed...for now. I wouldn't be surprised if in the end, he will become the biggest threat for everyone else than his enemies. We've seen something similar (the inverse of this) in another tvN drama this year.
It is not that type of series. It has a tiny little bromance. A very important one, but it is not about this.
Absolutely! It is an amazing show. If you like mystery it is a must-watch. Not an easy ride but a very interesting and well-made one. I wrote a review, you can check out that (nothing big spoiler! ;)): https://kisskh.at/profile/9221013/review/147379
Yo Han's never been a likable character. He is rude, aggressive, abusive, manipulating (kinda) sociopath who uses…
Yes, because he is a professional manipulator. They didn't through out that mentality in this episode just presented the way how he wanted to show himself to others for some reason. It was just that, not for doing him likable, and that was the reason why they showed the last scene. Maybe we can pity him for some reason, but he is not a likable character and the writers throw that into relief. I talked about Gaon as a detective like character type, not his (girl)friend. He has a reason, why he stayed at the house, and it was to pick up some information about YH and his actions for his professor, and also he is curious about him and suspicious towards him which is understandable.
Ep4Hmm not liking what the writers are doing with Kim Ga On.So the writing finally disappoints, wheelchair girl…
Yo Han's never been a likable character. He is rude, aggressive, abusive, manipulating (kinda) sociopath who uses everybody (including the public) to gain more power and this system to clear up and legitimate his own actions with the votes towards his powerful enemies. The main villain (we don't know if she is real the main) was spoiled in the posters and trailers, so I watched it as how she will turn out to be, but it was obvious from the first episode (gala scene, her little smirks and the way she talk with higher ups). Maybe, Mouse made me suspicious towards every single little details about this type of dramas. XD And Gaon is like a rookie detective who want to see the positive side of the MC but also suspicious towards his actions and character because of some reason what happened before in the first four episodes. Also, he want to know these information because of his professor too. I hope his character will learn the lesson in the end of the story.
