Oh goodness! I definitely wasn’t mad when reading your comment or writing mine. I’ve made that mistake before on Reddit and was reamed & downvoted into oblivion for it, which is probably why I thought writing that was saving you in some way. It’s probably an unreasonable thought but I was pretty traumatized by the Reddit experience 😳. Your comment really did make me feel good that all genders enjoy these dramas. 🫶🫵
I mean, it’s possible they’re not a guy, if gay marriage isn’t banned in the area they eat sleep and work... but YOUR comment also makes me feel glad to know Cdrama addiction isn’t limited to women. I sincerely support your love of costume dramas ✊🫵🫶
Wow, Park Min Young shines in emotional roles. It’s not easy being her ML either but Na In Woo didn’t disappoint. I just can’t get over how amazing this drama was. I was hooked beginning to end, no skipping. I watched the recent drama that had this similar plot but I already forgot the name of it, which just tells me it was too blah to remember.
These writers are definitely in an entirely different league and really understand childhood trauma, abuse and neglect and how it affects adult behavior. If the child has an inherently selfish nature, it leads to personality disorders like borderline and narcissism but with children that are inherently sensitive and kind natured, it leads to compulsive people pleasing behavior, complex ptsd and causes physical health problems later on in life. Anyways, this drama was just too impressive. I loved it.
Hello Fancy, I take your question here as one sensitive question which merits some reflection. Thank you for noticing…
YiYi Song is precious and comedically talented in every single way. It takes serious charisma to have her kind of comedic talent. The girl has a personality that makes me want to know her on screen and off. The people judging her based on her appearance have some serious personality flaws, if you know what I mean. To each their own, I guess but you have to be narrow-mindedly blind to think YiYi is plain looking and therefore unworthy of high ratings. I certainly don’t see a plain looking girl but then again, I see people on a much deeper level than the superficial bunch saying she’s unattractive.
YiYi Song’s comedic timing is gold. I just died laughing in episode 20 when she curtsied to the maid who curtsied to her first as the Lady of the Chu Mansion. She is next level hilarious, I swear.
Episode 3 had me dying 🤣 Li Wei has such great comedic timing. When he was checking the quack docs pulse, I was lmao. That whole scene was just hilarious.
Let us be blunt here...If this were real life and not a drama, BOTH ML and FL would be in a mental health facility! The…
It’s not a mental disorder, per se. It’s childhood trauma and toxic shame. When you’re raised in a house with emotional and psychological abuse, the brain becomes addicted to the patterns of abuse and is programmed to releases love chemicals for toxic shame instead instances of healthy intimacy. In instances of healthy intimacy the person will feel extremely uncomfortable and even fearful, avoiding healthy relationships. I should know, I’m one of those adult children raised by a narcissistic mom and brother. I can’t be in healthy relationships so I prefer not being in them at all. After 42 years of toxic abusive relationships, my brain still releases love chemicals while watching these toxic relationship dramas….but better dramas than real life abusive relationships, amirite?
My first Korean actor obsession after watching him in The Good, The Bad and the Weird. There’s just something about him that made me think of him on repeat for months after watching that movie.
I'm just watching DW's Unchained Love... got to admit PeterHo did well in that role though 😅 really made us…
He absolutely did do an amazing job…although, I probably might have been okay for his future lead roles if he had toned down the creepy factor while still being an excellent villain. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. That level of toxic creep really triggered my trauma from previous narcissistic relationships that I’m still healing from so I guess if you’ve never been narcissistically abused, Peter Ho’s ML roles won't be ruined for you forever.
why if you don’t mind me asking? For me, it’s the ml in the Story of Minglan
You’re not alone. For me, he will forever be the creepiest villain from unchained love. He made my skin crawl in that role and I won’t ever be able to watch him as a ML in anything, ever. I was traumatized by his creepiest, vulnerable narcissistic villain role.
The fact that the ML was the creepiest Prince/Emperor villain from Dylan Wang’s fake eunuch drama makes this a HARD PASS for me. I’m sorry, but I feel grossed out by him now and forever. I was traumatized by that villain role and now his face will forever be that role. 🤮
I just finished episode 4, but still can't connect with the FL... I don't hate her, but I don't like her either.…
Childhood trauma and abuse causes something called Complex ptsd and a major symptom of Complex PTSD is apathy. Add anger and resentment from the injustice and you get both FL’s from The Glory and Perfect Marriage Revenge. It’s understandable you can’t connect with them if you haven’t experienced Complex Trauma. I would say that’s a good thing. Childhood Abuse destroys your nervous system while structurally changing your brain and brain chemicals.
I bet you offended a lot of people here, because most of us eat meat. Plus many people were poor earlier and had…
1- I eat meat and 2- my reaction wasn’t because she did it to survive, it was that she did it with a malicious smile on her face as revenge towards the pets owner. She knew it was a beloved pet and did it with malicious joy, not survival. But if I offended you, my apologies. ✋🤚
I feel like I’m hyper focused on the height difference between Time and Nuch. Is it just me? Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t bother me or anything, I’m just focusing on it an awful lot during their wonderfully emotional scenes. Maybe it’s just me.
Was I the only one completely annoyed by that song they kept playing during the intermissions? Nails on a chalkboard, every single time. I couldn’t skip it fast enough and it played like 5 times during each hour episode.
