Nowadays, even some Asian cultures are influenced by Western culture, I'd say more into a balance between the 2 cultures. If I were FYS, if I am financially independent, my own profitable business or good employment outside of Lingtian Group, & if JZ (a bonus, future wife is pretty & a heart surgeon & besides FYS has once mentioned that she's his unique existence 🤗) has agreed to marry me, I would move out of Mom's house & have our own place 🤗🤗🤗 On the contrary, if my future wife is somebody ordinary, not as pretty & not a professional lol, I may rethink & stick with Mom & wealthy influential Lingtian Pharmaceutical Group 😂😂😂 But I should think (as how the storyline is heading us) FYS would prefer to stay at Lingtian to continue with the Perdo Project to obtain a cure for the children in Country M, in a way working together, sharing the same goal with JZ, one to develop new drug & the other administer the said drug.

FYS is a good son, he's tolerating bad selfish Mom, but he did warn her that if she keeps tormenting his love ZJ & jeopardizing her career, she'll end up losing him too (his Mom has just been suspended from work or was it dismissal?)

Right now I only watch FYS & ZJ & skip the rest, & when it's completed'with a happy ending, I would binge the whole lot at my own pace, full episodes 😂😂 Happy Friday!🤗🤗

Even Hollywood dramas like Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girls, etc have both sweet & sickening scenes 😂😂, they have other "cultural thing" too

Every story has arc structures, just like a basic essay or report; the intro, body (climax consisting of action & crisis) & lastly the resolution/conclusion :) We're towards 3/4 of the drama, we'll soon see the conclusion, more likely a happy ending 🙂🙂

Nevermind, if it's a happy ending, I could swallow whatever goes down in between, our couple just need to go through some ups & downs to understand each other & overcome struggles together🙂🙂 A test of true love 💜

I haven't watched Chongzi yet. Hidden Love is just good for me, it's overrated though, 9+ probably because of mesmerizing ML 😂 & easy, straightforward, puppy love romance with the least angst females love to fantasize lol 😂😂 HL's storyline of having a 7 year gap between ML & FL is no big deal lol, 7 -12 yrs age gap is very common, no hoohas 😂😂 You'll find it an issue & outcry if there's some story alike creepy, disgusting Woody Allen 56 & his affair with his young adoptive daughter 21 😂😂😂 Also, may I add, girls mature faster than boys & it's a fact, so not surprising that a girl would prefer mature men (acceptable age), not immature boys!

Yes, I totally agree with you. ZJ should accept his proposal & having a ring on her 4th finger means alot like you said, don't have to marry yet, but a stronger relationship & some sort of like the notion "reservation/being taken" lol. FYS would sure to put a big one on her if she'd said yes.
