Yes. I remember this one very clearly because i was binge watching Love and Redemption after the whole 59 episodes completed. And the issue was big enough to make both chinese and international forums become a field of fan war. Mostly, they were blaming Cheng Yi for treated YBY with cold attitudes and didnt consider how CP fans felt during that time. You know, the CP fans wanna see more lovey dovey fan service of CY and YBY like in the drama and promotion time. Actually, it didnt affect me to keep enjoy watching YBY and Cheng Yi in Love and Redemption. Coz they really have great chemistry together. Idk what happened between them and the agency. Its all internal issue and yes both fandoms need to chill.

You better watch and judge by yourself. I will vote for ep 6-9 is better than first half. Coz 6-9 its about the main point of the story. Time travel and paradox.

Lol right. We have the same thought. Ep 1-5 is all about investigation in 2021. Its still building the curiousity. But they should wrap the investigation in ep 4. So we have more time in discovering the whole time travel plot.

Ok lemme explain it to you with some of my thought. I will explain it from the beginning coz its related.

The main point of this drama is actually The Ghost herself. Coz without Ghost, There is no Grid. As we know, Grid was not founded in 1997. But The Ghost travelled back to 1997 to install the Grid so human kind wont suffer from the radiation and another side effects of solar wind.

This is my thought. In her original timeline (before time travel), Kwon Sukeun was alive, healthy, and had so much wealth because of his discovery of radiation medicine. And its still popular until The Ghost era in 2091. Thats why when she found the Grid, she decided to go back to 1997 to install the first/basic code of Grid then prevent the human kind to suffer for around 80+ years after 2005 events. But its the trade off. She needs to kill Kwon Sukeun in order to install the Grid then kill the janitor in order to make herself exist. Coz she basically needs to make Kim Manok become an orphan then growing up into criminal and "meet" someone (idk who) in the process. If the Janitor is still alive, Kim Manok's fate would change and the Ghost wont be exist in the future.

About the descendants and ancestors thing, its stated that Saebyeok is from Ghost maternal side (because the Ghost has mitochondrion from Saebyeok's line, and mitochondrion is only inherited from the female) and Kim Manok is from Ghost paternal side. With only 13% DNA matched with Kim Manok, it means the Ghost is his great great granddaughter. The descendants of Kim Manok (Male) married with the descendants of Saebyeok (Female). Then, the ghost will be exist. It explained why The Ghost didnt kill Saebyeok in ep 1 and always watch Kim Manok under her surveillance.

Yes I also heard that. Son of Bruce Lee also had terrible death in filming location because of accident in the gun props. Idk it was a murder or it was really an accident.

But people kept talking about it and even asked to cancel the shows without consider hundred of crews and bunch of money they throw to produce this drama. People somewhere killed wild animals and also eat their meats, sell their fur, and even torture some of them to become a toy in zoo or circus. Is it not cruel? Animal abuse is not only happening in this drama.

In the early state of drama production, the original number of episodes (I remember when I searched the drama information in MDL), it was shown around 30 episodes. But they changed the number of episodes to 24 then now 22. Idk maybe there is a lot of scenes were cut by company (?) Thats why the early episodes are so fast pace.

Cheng Yi is a chinese actor. YBY and Cheng Yi acted together in the 2020 drama named "Love and Redemption". Its one of the best xianxia romance drama in Chinese history. They also had a great chemistry there. You must check it out !
