One of the fairy saw the FL getting married to SML in the destiny tree mirror which is one of the indication that FL is the one, SML is destined to marry therefore she is the one he is engaged to. Another 100% clear is if you have seen the " Character relationship diagram" witch is uploaded on MDL in photos aswell. It tells you that he is engaged to Xi Yun aka FL. Hope that explains it.

I totally agree she is way overrated. No matter what even if i don't like someone but if what they r doing is good & they r good at it. I will accept it & be vocal about their good points but here i don't see anything like that in her.
The pace is so slow but story isn't bad. So far from what I saw is that first ML is the sovereign lord then he is the demon hunter. As demon hunter he got killed by thr FL. Dsmn that was so painful to watch bcuz finally he loved her!
