I think fans get use to it since he's a lone ranger in entertainment world without entertainment company to back him up. At least he did his best in terms of acting, own dubbed voice and actions scenes for every characters he played without disappointing the audience.

There is no official information about this drama. I wonder who is so fast and add all these details lol.. Anyway I'll watch every works about Zheng Ye Cheng.

I understand your statement. Audience tends to blame ML because he didn't give FL the trust that she need but in fact, ML is consistent with his character where FL is out of the character.
In case you are wondering, the scriptwriter published the original scripts, scriptwriter wrote tonnes of details and elaborated the character for FL, 2nd ML and ML's brother. The scriptwriter was abit contradict with the characters she wrote. ML was not elaborate enough, the description and details of ML are not drafted properly. Therefore, majority of the time ML has impromptu performance and will figure how to set up his character to be a believable XueYao. The rest of the casts act according to the scripts given, so when character is out, scriptwriter has responsible for it.
Director trusted ML and let him act based on his understanding on his own character. They also guided FL to improvised some of her out of character scenes (in scripts but make it logical in the drama).

Not an issue. I would suggest not to over interpret bts. He can be serious, concentrate, playful or cheerful during off screen, the video editor can cut whichever scenes they want too. This is selective cuts and it is very common in all the bts.

Else I would suggest to watch his other works and bts, or his interview. Then you will know all the while it's just a friendly and gentleman working relationship with these FL colleagues.

Actually, it is based on different character requirement. I've read both LOTY novel and TSP script novel. LOTY has deleted many ML scenes whereas TSP original scripts are really bad, he literally just a "sweet tool" of the FL in the drama. He did he best to make his character believable and react logically in both dramas tho.

As a fan of him since 2017, I observed he maintains a working relationship with all his coworkers.
He never disclose his personal life to public, I would say he wants to protects his family and avoid over exposure.

It's true that shippers tend to ship him and his ex colleagues especially the sexual and manly vibes start to appear as he aged. I would say the same for his kissing scenes, he was 24 when he filmed LOTY and 26 when filmed TSP. He is versatile and able to change between gentle caring boy vs president / mature man. He can be a flower boy or a celestial who lived thousand years. In fact, he can look at a tree, a horse or even just the camera lens with an emotional loving eyes, that's what I call, acting skills. He is truly underrated for his acting and dialogues/voice (台词).

FL might be 20++yo when ML is 10++yo, this is why when FL time travel and space travel to ML's world, her ex fiancée and best friend are 30++yo whereas FL and ML are both 20++yo

Agree with you. the actor ensure he will be able to rationalise the character he played. He is cold for valid reasons and treat the FL with defensive mode, not because he was “just cold”

- Na Sheng, Zhen Lan's suppose endgame CP. Although the throne is lonely and cold, but Na Sheng is a warm character, she will turn the cold palace into a warm home. Unfortunately the author decided to change NaSheng real endgame to another male character.

- XiJing, Zhen Lan's kingdom general. He look after Zhen Lan since he was brought back to the Palace at young age. He is a good friend to him. Both of them fight against enemies side by side on the battlefield, they drink alcohol together and listen to each other. They are like a soul mate. I'm thankful XiJing is always stay besides Zhen Lan.

Zhen Lan couldn't have a complete love in his life.
- Zhen Lan's mother, the most beautiful woman in the Western Houtu, was slaughtered by the imperial capital before he could grow up;
- Zhen Lan's father, who was a terrible king and lost his life. He has no pity for Zhen Lan. For him, Zhen Lan is just a product after he raped his mother.
- Zhen Lan's wife, Bai Ying, she has always loved others (Su Mo) , but considering the conflicts between the kingdom and the race, she swayed between ZhenLan and SuMo.
