I don't think there was anything threatening in the letter, just some vague lines of poetry about reuniting someday or something.
The fortune teller said that the letter was someone's wedding gift to them. Maybe the poetry hides some clues about the treasure? Like how to open the vault? I dunno, just randomly guessing at this point.
Oh come on, writers. The general tying up the brother is so out of character. The best friend is a nuisance and is certainly going to turn against the FL, just as I expected.

In China, people will call their friends, people they just met, or even complete strangers brother or sister. It can indicate intimacy or liking (you consider them part of the fam), or to show respect or admiration, especially if you call them "older" brother or sister. And if you call someone big brother or big sister, it means deference and you will follow their lead.
Just out of curiosity:Is it acceptable in Chinese society to suddenly develop romantic feelings for someone who…
It was very normal for non-related children growing up and playing together to call each other brother and sister, but then develop romantic feelings after they grow up. But within the same family it would be considered incest, even if they are step/adopted siblings.
I'm glad the whole forced marriage thing was over quickly, as it's one of my least favourite tropes. I mean, there's going to be a lot of "aftermath" to deal with after the bride stealing, but at least that will be interesting to watch, unlike watching a woman stuck with a husband she hates.
Luo Xue’er is already an irritating villain. Did we really need the Prince? More annoying is that silly maid/spy..I…
I'm disappointed that Xue'er doesn't even try to fake being nice anymore. She'd be a much better villain if she continued to act nice in public, and considering how she had her super smart sister fooled for like 20 years, she's clearly capable of it. Failure on the director's part.
Finally, for once, we have a time travel drama that actually gave some thought into making a happy ending that makes sense! Was that so freaking hard!?
I hope the prince isn't the mastermind; it would be way too obvious and not fun at all. So far, he just acts like a one-dimensional comic-book villain; too dull and uninteresting to be the big bad.
The middle sister is a good villain. She's treacherous, cunning, and smart. She's really nice on the outside, and gains your trust so that she can stab you in the back when you least expect it. Plus, she has complex motivations and a tragic backstory that explains, if not justify, some of her evilness.
Nine episodes in, and she's already halfway through her revenge (in terms of enemy count). How are they going to drag out the rest of her revenge for another 15 episodes? So far, the pacing has been fast and exciting, but I hope it doesn't get draggy like so many dramas do.
That is not the link to this movie. This is not even released. The link you posted belongs to this: https://kisskh.at/719581-feng-qi-luo-yang-zhi-yin-yang-jie
Ok thanks for pointing that out. I was confused because the title is the same.
