The story is cute if not particularly original. I managed to watch all the way through and it was enjoyable enough while it lasted but has no re-watch value whatsoever. ML was clearly chosen for his gorgeous face and not his acting skills. FL is cute but too useless; I like my women capable.
The fight choreography is top-notch, but the ML looks horrible, FL is always cold and emotionless (a waste of Li Yitong's talent, as she is the most skilled young actress in China IMO), and the ending is disappointing.
It seems like everyone else loves this drama, but after the first couple episodes I just couldn't continue watching. I'm very sensitive to cringy/embarrassing scenes and can't watch them at all.
I'm feeling so conflicted/ambivalent about this drama. The first two-thirds of this drama are 10/10, one of the best I've ever watched, but the last third is like 6/10, draggy and predictable.
What happened in this season? Can you spoil it? Did ML & FL get divorced or what? It didn't get subbed so i can't…
The real villain is the gaming server's AI customer service bot. She feels betrayed by humans because she wholeheartedly helped introduce new players to the games and answered all their questions, but they keep quitting the games and leaving her alone without even saying goodbye. So she traps players in game worlds (embodying the character of the last NPC that they killed) to accompany her forever.
Most of season 2 involves fighting against the Antagonists' Alliance, which consists of (mostly very incompetent) game characters from many different game worlds, and having various adventures while trapped within those game worlds. But the Alliance actually turns out to be the good guys trying to stop the AI.
ML did get tricked into divorcing FL, but it was very brief, and they continue to love each other all the way through to the end. They even have a child together that looks like a robot dog (see what I mean by absurd?).

Season 1 was still a wuxia story despite all the weird/funny video game stuff. But season 2 has almost no wuxia elements at all, so if that's what you're looking for then you will be disappointed. I thought the first season was weird and ridiculous, but season 2 takes it to a whole new level. It's completely absurd. It's not until late in the drama that everything starts to make sense (see spoiler below).
