On Ever Night Season 2 Jul 30, 2021
The main complaint I have about Season 2 is that the plot isn't complex enough to fill an entire season. Season 1 was so absolutely jam packed with different things happening, with never a dull moment, and that makes Season 2 seem draggy and sparse in comparison. I think they should've combined Season 2 and the (possibly) upcoming Season 3 into one. And of course the change in cast is jarring as well. The new actors do a good job, but it's hard to think of the characters as the same person when they have a different face. I especially miss Meng Ziyi's incomparable beauty as Ye Hongyu.

Wishing for a season 2 focusing in the love story of Ban Heng and Xie Wanyu ❤️❤️❤️ of course with…
I don't think they are smart or ambitious enough to be the lead characters in their own drama. They are just a couple of simple minded foodies in love. But they are just so super adorable! And I know Xie Wanyu is supposed to be plain looking, while Shi Feixian is supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the country, but am I the only one who finds Wanyu way prettier than Feixian?

From episode 13 she must have some kind of dancing experience. Her movements are on point in this episode.
It says right in her bio that she trained in dance

I think she nail it. You call her ugly?! Rude. She always pretty. U need to understand become an actress is not…
She wasn't saying that she's ugly. She's saying that people are supposed to be ugly when they cry, but the actress tried to be pretty while crying, so the crying didn't look realistic.

She has one of the most brilliantly dazzling smiles I've ever seen. Whenever she smiles it's like she lights up the entire world. The only other Chinese actress I know with a smile like that is Zhang Hui Wen. I also appreciate that she's rather, um, voluptuous; most Chinese actresses are like sticks. Her acting was a little awkward, in a cute kind of way (she moves her head a lot when she talks). At least her acting was way better than the guy who played Director Li (handsome guy but man, overacting much?). Anyways, hope she continues to improve and we get to see more of her and her gorgeous smile.

Person Li Yi Tong
IMO Li Yitong is the most talented actress of her generation. In Royal Nirvana (a very painful drama to watch lol) the way she expresses emotions was soooo incredibly amazing. I can't think of any other young actress with that kind of depth. I first saw her in Bloody Romance, and honestly, in terms of looks she didn't impress me at first, but over time she really grew on me, and the more I watched her the more I liked her.

I watched the whole thing and I still don't understand. The new emperor rebelled against the previous emperor…
Xie Yun is the last survivor of the House of Xiao, which ruled the former Liang dynasty that was replaced by the Chen dynasty. And Fei's father is Zhou Yitang, the Duke of Gantang, who leads the Liang loyalist army. So 1) why is a Chen prince foster brothers with Xie Yun, a Liang prince, and 2) why did the Chen emperor allow his son to propose to Fei, the daughter of the leader of the forces that want to overthrow him and restore Liang?

zhou jie qiong, a small support role in legend of fei tried to mess up the show by adding more of her scenes and…
Also, ZHW is the most perfect human being ever. Everyone who has ever worked with her loves her and describes her as hard working and gets along with everyone. There's no way she would do something like that. She and ZLY were dancing to tiktoks together on set so their relationship was probably great.

did they ever explain about how xie yun was once the prince to his foster brother or was that left as a cliffhanger?…
I watched the whole thing and I still don't understand. The new emperor rebelled against the previous emperor (Xie Yun's father) and stole his throne, but instead of killing Xie Yun he adopts him as foster son? Like WTF? That makes no sense.

Ironically literally everyone who watched LOF was super annoyed with Zhou Jieqiong's character lol

WYB character he played him very well . This young man is a very good actor. My favourite actress ZYL didn’t…
ZYL was upset with the horrible decisions that the multitude of writers and producers made with the script, so she probably wasn't giving her performance 100%. If your boss made you do work you didn't agree with, your performance wouldn't be ideal either.
On Heart of Loyalty Jul 27, 2021
I'm really looking forward to this, but I'm trying not to because I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. You know, high expectations and all that. I'm a big fan of ZHW, loved her in NIF2 and she was pretty good in LOF too, but I found her acting a bit awkward in Love a Lifetime. Haven't watched The Flaming Heart yet but from the previews it looks like her character is basically a more childish version of her personality in real life, so not much of a challenge. She has the perfect face for playing a mischievous genius, so fingers crossed!

Yeah their signature performance was her father breaking a giant stone slab over her chest with a sledgehammer.

She wanted to help but there wasn't really anything she could do other than be a burden. For someone who's strong enough to stop a horse carriage, she really should've been a lot more useful in a fight.

I don't really care about independent, but I like couples who are competent and work together, instead of the guy trying to keep the girl out of everything in order to protect her.

I'm so tired of her being typecast as the boring rich girl. If you've seen her excellent performance in the Your Highness series, you will understand why it's such a shame to give her these small, uninteresting roles. Not only is she one of the most beautiful actresses I've ever seen, she is also incredibly talented with a huge range. Whether she's happy or sad, laughing or angry, serious or goofy, tender or fierce, vulnerable or smug, she plays it all very convincingly. Producers, please give her some better roles, preferably where she's badass and gives us more of that beautiful, beautiful smirk! She deserves better.

Im on episode 4 Whats with the behind the scenes clip in the middle of the episode?
It's the kind of comedy that doesn't take itself seriously, so they included a blooper in the actual episode. It's not the only time they break the 4th wall. In other episode, the main character tells his subordinate not to fly everywhere because special effects are expensive. lol
