I didn't plan on watching this drama cause of the period it was based on. Because it was a very challenging time for China, drama's of that time is very tragic and heavy. But I recently saw a funny clip on yt and thought of giving it a try. I don't regret it, it's so well made and contrary to what I thought it wasn't heavy at all. It does has it's sad moments but its also funny and exciting, Like a good mixture of different genres. All the actors did so well, I heard Xu Kai won best actor for this role, well deserved. I just don't understand why the deleted some of the romantic scenes. Regardless it's definetly worth watching.
Does anyone know if this was actually Lin Yanjun's voice or is it dubbed by a voice actor? It does seem like it's his voice but I can't really tell with C-dramas.
I could not get past ep 1 of this drama. I don’t know what people are talking about when they say “it’s so bad that it’s good” The first ep itself made me so angry that I had to call my bf n vent for an hr. for me personally, I felt that if I carried on it would have spoiled my mood for a few months at least. That’s how irritating I found it. It was like a ‘test your patience’ challenge.
seems nice. if i can find it with eng sub, i'll definetly watch. I've come across quite a few chinese variety show clips that looks very interesting but unfortunately they r mostly never subbed and its even harder to find full episodes🥺
Okay I just watched the movie. It made me research about Somali Civil War. Although, I couldn't really come to…
Well, first thing that is probably a key factor blocking any attempt of peace over there is cause of the clan divisions. The civilians identify themselves by which clans they belong to, so its hard to get everyone to accept a government. they instead prefer to follow the person representing their clan which are usually warlords. The rebellion which happens in this movie against President Barre was for that reason. This president himself took over the previous government through a coup carried out by the military and the length of time that he ruled the country, they had the worst human rights records ever and all kind of wars and atrocities. So there were lots of resistance movements that rose up against him, which eventually led to the civil war. The reason that its still on going is cause since then, whoever comes in power cannot exert authority over the whole country, and their are many parts of the country that are under the rules of different warlords that self proclaim themselves as leaders.
btw, I'm not somalian, I first came to know about the civil war when i met a somalian girl in London, i heard somethings from her and then read a bit on it. I suggest u watch black hawk down, that is also based on a true story that takes place 2 years after the events from escape from mogadishu.
Let me guess, the north koreans were the bad guys and the south koreans didn't do anything wrong, right? Xd
i just watched it and I suggest u watch it too. its a very good movie. And you guessed wrong. in fact both North n south r actually working together in this one. Quite emotional.
i really really enjoyed this drama. my only complain was that it was way too short. All the cast were amazing. This is Nam Dareu,'s first main role as an adult but he somehow feels like a veteran to me.lol i hope i don't have to wait too long to see him leading full length dramas.
i didn't like the main couple at all. it was just annoying to watch them and try and make sense of what they actually want. the guy's reason for break up also was just so stupid, it just made me more upset.
Why name it Mogadishu when there are no Somali people or land involved. This is tasteless and I hope it fails.…
well, you should have signed the petition when black hawk down came out then. this one doesnt revolves alround the people of mogadishu but around the korean that got stuck there and how they escaped hence the title. And its based on real events, so it's also the pain and trauma of the korean that were there.
I wasn't expecting anything when I started watching this drama. It's light-hearted and cute. I enjoyed it. We all wonder how many life-style changes will we carry foward to the future post-covid. And this drama kinds give you a little glimpse of what it could be like. Overall it was sweet, refreshing and fairly easy to binge-watch
