It's ana amazing drama. And tbh, it's more of a 'journey is more beautiful than the destination' kind of a drama, i think you'll love it for the progress of the story more than the ending. I am at ep 28 now and tbh the ending is more of a formality for me right now.... I am enjoying the present ride so much that i am not bothered about the end yet.

But i agree, i definitely want to see HYX and WRC in a sweet drama with a lot of romance and sweet love scenes. Their chemistry is insane. They did such a great job with the TuJu cp that i can't imagine any other outcome but them being together. I literally can't picture them with anyone else.

Exactly.... I think this whole outlook that she should have immediately fallen for shiyi after being miserable for such a long time because of her failed crush on CL. How is that even possible? That's a rather childish outlook. Plus, we as viewers always saw shiyi's efforts and the way he looked at her as nothing other than love. But she didn't. If a guy is always teasing me, belittling my looks and intelligence , always making fun of me, i wouldn't in my wildest dreams even imagine that he is attracted to me romantically. So i don't blame xiaoju, neither for not realising his love nor for taking so long for realising her own feelings. I think they're showing a very natural progression in that regards.

This one is a more slice of life, realistic struggles kind of college drama. Not tropey at all. Very refreshing in that way.

Yeah i don't see it at all... At every point, i have felt how much Shiyi means to her. Okay, it got a romantic and attraction related turn only on the last couple of episodes, but that doesn't negate the fact that she really cares about him a lot, trusts him and relies on him, tells him everything. These things also mean a lot. So i don't agree with anyone who wanted her to immediately fall for shiyi after struggling so much with her love for cheng lang.

Crossroad bistro had a really popular director. He is actually a very renowned film director, this was his first drama production. Hence, from the beginning itself, this project had a lot of buzz in China. It is shot cinematically and i am sure the story is also good, it's not your average idol drama or rom com. So i am sure it was very popular, even without big names.

What was the rating before it ended in China? I am curious because when i came to rate, this was the rating.

Reply 1988 gave me the worst second male lead syndrome ever. Like where did the feelings and relationship that became cannon even come from ? It was a head scratching moment for me.

I can't believe we are getting two dramas with ZYC and Crystal Yuan as main leads. I know that fans have literally been requesting productions to cast ZYC and Hu Yi Xuan as main leads again because of their awesome chemistry in The Sleepless princess....can't believe we still haven't gotten them together again 😭 will be curious to see ZYC and CY chemistry and what made them be cast as a couple in two dramas, will be interesting to see.

Yes, it is very romantic. Even though they're not yet a couple, every moment that they spend together just reinforces how much they care for each other and depend on each other. There is deep love and affection in every moment even when they're not a couple in the strictest sense (they behave like a couple anyway huhu)

Even the leads of Imperial Coroner sit and talk... But they're slightly older and professional than this crowd. Plus, ancient times so i guess they mature quickly.

This song suits them so much!! I listen to this song on repeat while waiting for new episodes, thinking about my favorite couple.

Plus the ways of communication were too less and outdated.

He is okay there. He has a smaller role in it....mostly so so. Didn't make much of an impression.
