Yeah i don't see it at all... At every point, i have felt how much Shiyi means to her. Okay, it got a romantic and attraction related turn only on the last couple of episodes, but that doesn't negate the fact that she really cares about him a lot, trusts him and relies on him, tells him everything. Crossroad bistro had a really popular director. He is actually a very renowned film director, this was his first drama production. Hence, from the beginning itself, this project had a lot of buzz in China. It is shot cinematically and i am sure the story is also good, it's not your average idol drama or rom com. So i am sure it was very popular, even without big names.

I saw that comment too. It's unfortunate, especially because HYX is so pretty. She glows and when she smiles, it's difficult to take your eyes off her. She doesn't have the stunning beauty that some Chinese actresses have, rather has a warm and engaging energy to her. Plus, her acting skills far propels her ahead of any other chinese actress I have seen.

It's really good, such a gem of a drama. It embodies the spirit of 'journey better than the destination'. Every moment is so well written and performed. It's better than a lot of overhyped cdramas which only have famous actors who can't act. I wish this drama would get more recognition, for the acting alone.
