this looked really interesting.. God knows why they postponed it. does anyone know the actual reason? its not…
There are various reasons, 1) The 6th season of the of the manga's animation had been banned due to content and other factors. 2) The airing has been put on hold due to various censorship issues. 3) the board of media censorship recieved multiple complaints from parental viewers about the content and how it desensitized violence, promoted shameless nudity and perversion as well as kinks etc., 5) Some historical sites have been mentioned without acknowledgement and permission from authorities such as actual temple names and historical sites etc., which needs license or permit to use and only with a reputable background in the story. 4) because of all the issues, the production might need to undergo a second screening after changes are made, which could mean a lot of redos, retakes, and cuts from the original production that would require additional cost and investment.
Edit: also, although they could have had appealed to international fans more, the production is targetted on local audiences. Most movie materials are catered to local viewership. If it recieves traction from an international fanbase that would be a bonus but not entirely as profitable as the original intent of viewership marketing.
The sound is too echo-y and feels like it was recorded on a cell phone. The show isn't bad, but it feels like…
Hahaha exactly. The story itself is ok, but the production was tacky, like a college project or something... I feel bad for the cast because they are doing very well despite the low quality production.
[Episode 6]Ngl, the custoner is kinda hot. It would make for a more powerful scene if he was sixty something old…
Lol I legit rewatched the episode side by side to your comment~π I could legit hear it even though I was just reading it... ππ Now this is a proper comment π
To be fair, the plot is great, the casting is great the chemistry of the leads is great, but damn the camerawork and post-prod editing ruins it. Sometimes the camerawork is ok, sometimes it's like a college project kind of camerawork, the transitions don't help either... Also the color palette for the scenes are so confusing that it betrays the emotion the actors try to portray. The actors act well but the capturing process and the post production editing makes it a mess... It's such a waste also that we don't get more of the hilarious chemistry of the senior actors with "Kiew" I'll still give it a shot since the story and casting is awesome.
This series is so precious. It must be protected at all costs! I'm soooooo glad I gave this a go. It's my favourite…
I think the reason they held out on the kisses is because both lead are in a currently active idol group (OmegaX) and some hardcore fans might take offense and ruin the entire show by making a fuss and affect their careers as idols..
Multiple Personality Disorder and Bipolar Disorder is a real thing and Jaebum's case is something that actually…
AND AGAIN YOU MISSED THE WHOLE POINT. Because AGAIN you'vre only cherry-picking from the entire long-ass "rant". You're asking what was the basis of "he might've killed her?" Have you forgotten the two murders Jaejoon had done before? Those were murders done by the alter-ego in response to Jaebum's emotional distress. Wooseong who he thought pushed him from the rooftop, and that car shop guy who kept provoking him making Jaejoon take matter into his own hands(literally). So the basis why I said "if she didn't play along he would've (and it's 'would have' not 'would of' Miss-trying-to-educate-me-but-cant-spell-right) killed her", is because he has done so in the past. The basis to that assumtion is because the character has already done the same reaction to provocation in the past.
Also, I guess you are the one nedding "education" because obvioisly your comprehension is flawed. Did you really not notice or understand why there was no mention of scientific explanation about Jaebum's disorder? Did you seriously not fathom why Jaebum's condition has been described blindedly with layman's term rather than the artuculate and scientific ones? I mean, you're trying to "educate" people about how Jaebum was portrayed but you did notβnot even in the slightestβunderstand the purpose of the screenwriter? That's why I said you don't understand context. And yet you're running your mouth.
That was the intention. The ending should've given it away. Because the story itself is a narration from the main lead's pov. The entire story/series is Ok Chanmi's recounting everything that happened. The understanding or exolanation of Jaebum's condition was shallow, because in Chanmi's perpective, it was something she didn't understand in such depth. Jaebum's condition was being portrayed in third party's perspective, on purpose. Iean the beginning and the ending already gave it away that all these was Ok Chanmi recounting the story.
So no, the writers were not lacking in portraying Jaebum's condition. They did a phenomenal job. Because the entire story was produced as a rexounting of OK Chanmi's journey. That's why there is a "probability". That's why I mentioned probability. Because in Ok Chanmi's perspective, that small life-or-death interaction with Jaejoon, the alter ego, was based on the probability that he MIGHT get provoked and kill Chanmi, if she hadn't coaxed him.
Srsly before you try to "educate" people, you should really do something about that visual comprehension, and and reading skills.
Multiple Personality Disorder and Bipolar Disorder is a real thing and Jaebum's case is something that actually…
And that's why you should be understanding what you are reading. Because if you didn't notice I said "PROBABLY kill you" which states the fact that the probability of it happening is uncontrollable, unpredictable and very fickle. Because as you are probably trying to point out, mental illness is complex.
That is why people educating themselves about it is important. But that is not the point of why that bit was addedn in context to the series. You see the point of view of that series was through the main protagonist, or the third person. Exactly why the writers didn't go too medical in explaining Jaebum's condition.
That's why I said it's realistic. Because, 1) As volatile as the alter persona was portraying itself to be, that it raises the situation that if she couldn't coax him that he would probably kill her, given his mental state. And not JUST because he is mentally ill. But because the alter has shown that although it is triggered by Jaebum's emotional stress, Jaejoon acts on logic more than emotions or morals. And when I said "it will probably kill her" that is not based solely on the fact that he is mentally ill. But rather, because so far, that ego's response to Jaebum's stress has always been killing the source.Like what he did to the dead twin and the dead guy at the car shop. Which raused the PROBABILITY of him killing her.
So you see how "probably" is used? "Probably" is not a definitive word. Especially to complex cases like mental illnesses. Probability varies per person. Even more so, to a person who has several in their head.
When I say, I could "probably" kill you, if you tell me I'm deranged or crazy or a lunatic, it doesn't mean I "will" kill you. I probably could. And I could think of million ways. I could even have killed you a dozen times in my head using different personas. Then again, I probably would. Not like I can't or I wouldn't. It depends on how you act that I can react. But why would I? Well, why can't I? Should I?
You see the example ? That kind of mentality. It's fickle and noisy, and it depends on how much the button is pushed by the other person. The same why the probability triggers how a person with an underlying mental issue/condition MIGHT TAKE ACTION. But of course it's case to case basis as each individual is unique from another. But what I'm saying is "probability" is the point. One which you clearly missed and erased entirely from my entire spiel. And because you did, now you think I'm stereotyping. Simply because you didn't understand context. Or rather, because you cherry-picked what you read, and read only the parts you wanted to react to. Regardless of the purpose of the entire statement.
Not what i expected, thought there would have been alot more revenge cases.. either way it was nice in the beginning,…
Multiple Personality Disorder and Bipolar Disorder is a real thing and Jaebum's case is something that actually happens to people with this condition. It's an actual mental illness wher the brain sections off memories as a defense mechanism. Creating a different persona to protect that part of memory or hide it. It's induced by a severe trauma and is still unexplained as to how it happens. Because humans have enly explored 10% of our brain's total average capacity.
Obviously there won't be a Season 2, unless you want to see the main lead's dying moments. This was already the most appropriate ending.
Please don't call it dumb just because you don't understand the medical condition that the character Jaebum has. Because that is based on an actual mental illness. And if anything a person with this kind of mental illness does not call it a "condition" or an "illness", so it's realistic that Jaebum would refer to his split personality as "another person inside me". Because a sick person never likes to be called "sick". Especially those with mental conditions.
If you try to call a psychopath that theu are a psychopath, they'd probably kill you. If you call a mental patient that something's wrong with their brain they will probably kill you too. So wouldn't it be more realistic to refer to a person with a violent split personality as if he was an actual person inside someone's body than to call them a "split personality" or "bipolar" and risk them getting triggered into killing you?
I don't know about you but if she didn't play along with the "another person inside me" that Jaebum mentioned, his split ego might have actually killed her. Coz in reality, that would be what would most likely happen.
So it's not dumb. It's realistic. You need to understand it to see how it makes sense.
Can you imagine coming off of UWMA and then checking this out and saw Fluke? LOL!!! Where were these kisses for…
well if you think about it, this was released in 2015... Vampirism is not something you can claim to request supplies from the blood bank... π and that also costs money, so I don't think someone who scavenges trash for a guitar can afford that π π
And besides, this movie was an adult rated movie, (R-Rated) in comparison to UWMA which is somewhat more age friendly (PG-15+ I think, or was it PG-18?) So obviously Fluke's kisses would have had to be less... porn-ish π π π
I don't get the ending, can someone explain to me ? thanks !
the ending was Night trapped himself inside the trash can with all that uncollected trash... believing that a few fays of hunger (not drinking blood) would eventually kill him. Wine knows Night is not coming back, so no matter what was about to happen, he didn't care anymore. That's why he wore their couple shirt and never let go of the guitar... so if he meets night again, he will recognize him..
Also the part where Wine was arrested only the three friends were there... so there is a theory that Tee never made it out the building, because he no longer has the strength, but was able to call his friends before falling unconscious... Then we can guess the police went to the location, found Tee, and the dead body of p'Boy, the bottles, Wine's bag etc., which made Wine prime suspect and the three friend's testimony that they saw that guy with Wine before would have sealed the case with Wine as suspect.
The last part where Night meets Wine, is actually just Wine's delirious stage... like a dying dream... it's a premise that indicates Wine died anyway, leaving only the guitar behind...
lol that was it? All the build up for nothing? Is this a joke? It's not even a proper season ender cliffhanger... it just hanged... like someone forgot to post the next episode and abandoned the entire series... wth...
Nope he didn't leave GMMTV. He's just doing his national service. He will resume his career at GMMTV after this…
Thailand's military service is not like Korea's mandatory enlistment. Where the enlistees are restricted from going out of the camp and focusing solely on their military duties. Although Thai military has strict training regimen, they allow enlistees to complete prior engagements and recieve time-offs when needed. They still commit to their military duties, without hindering their pre-planned activities prior to recieving the enlistment order.
Hey?? The names do sound familiar, but Day and Itt really didnt have much of a story in Unforgotten Night. The…
yeah you must've been confused... π π they just posted a teaser for this series on their IG 2 xays ago, so Ivm sure it wasn't cancelled or postponed... It's understandable though because they started promoting this series since last year, I think, a little over a year... or probably way back before Frank entered the military (not too sure) and the promotion for the series is a little weak, that's why a lot of people might have thought the same..
Hey?? The names do sound familiar, but Day and Itt really didnt have much of a story in Unforgotten Night. The…
I just assumed it is the same Day and Itt, because they were written by the same author... then the trailer seem to involve guns and mafia, and I remembered Day used to work for khun Kamol who was a mafia boss... I mean, this must be the same characters in the same universe, if both stories were written by Yeo Nim, right? (^o^) This just makes me even more excited for this series <3<3<3
Yeo Nim? You mean the same writer for the series adapted from Mafia's Bad Love?? You mean to say this is the same "Day" and "Itt" from Yoe Nim's "Mafia's Bad Love" adaptation, Unforgotten Night? 8O
Rainbow Lagoon is a beautiful and a clear-cut slice of life, two-part shortfilm about two-boys who were rivals in love, yet finding an irreplaceable friendship between each other that led to something more. No telenovela drama or plot twists. Just plain people who found what they never expected to need. And getting supported by people that love them.
I have loved Oak and Mon's cp for a very long time... they are so underrated when they're such good actors. I feel bad that they're stuck doing shortfilms, two-part serials and indie BL films... They deserve the world~ But I must commend their production company. They've always given Oak and Mon such beautiful roles, despite being indie... And they portray each story so perfectly in comparison to the bigger productions.
Also, how do they always find casts with great natural acting skills? Their facial expressions, their adlibs... even the awkwardness is so natural, like how regular people would be in their ordinary lives...
They deserve more recognition and support Donate to their production so we can see more gems like this at their paypal account: [email protected]
They did an actual good job, considering that this premiered during the pandemic... too bad the actors didn't get to promote very much... the couples have great chemistry to be fair... and even the antagonist was very good... he made me hate him, and at the end pity him.. Mawin and Run (Chris and Jeno) have been a silent ship I had ever since TharnType and I just love their chemistry so much <3 I can't believe they kissed, finally! No one lacked in acting, although not everyone was phenomenal.. some were better than others, but there was no bad crop among the male actors... I'm also intrigued at how this series portrayed a variety of second chances... Second chances that almost slipped away. Second chances that we almost gave up on. Second chances that we were too afraid to face head on. Second chances that we can never have again no matter how sorry we are. Second chances that are difficult to give. Second chances that are difficult to recieve, but not impossible. and Second chances that we have to bravely fight for to recieve. This was a very good series with a very good casting... Too bad they couldn't promote this series and their casts... P'Tong did a good job since TharnType and has grown in terms of acting, since then, as Tankhun in KinnPorsche. I really wanna see him more in main lead roles <3 and I hope he has a come back with his BL cp from this series. They are so underrated when they have such stellar chemistry <3
in their defense, I think BL webtoon and novel adaptations, like these, are trying to stay true to the original…
I don't understand what you get for insulting my "word-salad", and I wish I were their PR flack so I'd at least get paid. But sadly, I'm not.
