I liked him based on this profile pic, but now watching him in princess royal I'm disappointed. IMO he is sort of bleak and boring looking. Like a plain porridge. Hopefully, he'll grow on me

Ageism in c-dramas (especially in costume dramas) is no joke. He can only be the main character's father now or a supportive character f.e. an evil emperor.
But maybe he could be a hot older doctor or police captain in modern dramas? Maybe even the main love interest for a 35+ actress?

Because it's not about love and it is rather dark. Most of the mdl users apparently prefer fluffy love stuff

So one can't really take everything lusi says without some salt as well. If they were so abusive and horrible, why she signed with them another contract a year ago?

She is so beautiful in Under the skin 2 😍 She depicted her complicated character very well, I kinda hoped she had more dramas for me to watch 😢

Has mdl ratings always been that crazy and unfair or is it something relatively new? I'm sure it was always a bit weird, but for some reason it got really insane in 2025! I see it in every recent drama ratings and comments! There are so many bots in the comments of 2025 dramas with no profile pics and several dramas on their mdl watchlist with ratings only 1 and 10, they only hate on dramas or worship them blindly and not always for the quality of the dramas but because of the actors. Such a shame!

IMO they do have smth in common about them, but not the point of being mixed up. And both of them are uniquely beautiful and talented and the fact that there is some resemblance is not making any one of them less of who they are.

Most of the real spammers here are weird users who tell others give this drama a 10 and these users usually have no profile pics, nor there are many dramas in their watchlists. So if all bots are gone, which is my dream, there would be gone not only "malicious" 1s and 3.5s, but also lots of 10s apparently

If 1 and 3.5 should be banned for rating, maybe 10 should be too? IMO 10 are as biased as 1. I'm watching this drama at the moment and it's good and entertaining, but at the moment it's something like 8 for me, it's definitely not the best drama I've seen. And I can't understand all the whining of why it's not rated 10s all the time. Ath the moment ming lan and yanxi palace have lower ratings that this drama and personally I disagree to that

Why is everyone so obsessed with ratings above 9 on mdl? I just saw the same sort of whining in comment section of the prisoner of beauty🙈. There are less than 10 chinese dramas with rating 9 or more. It's not like 8.6 or 8.9 is a bad rating, come on you guys! Everyone is crying about people who give 1 to good dramas, but what about giving 10 to good or even very good dramas, when they are truly 8/10 or 9/10? If you give 10 to everything than it's not worth it anymore. How can anyone trust mdl ratings anyway when there are do many crazy fans or crazy haters? Most dramas that are in top20 on mdl are soooo overrated, I can't even rely on it anymore
