Ep 4 made me sob🥺. And knowing that their baby was due 10th june which is my birthday 😭. Thanks for the comment I didn't really know that the itaewon incident caused the change. Explains a lot🙏. Ig now I wouldn't mind them😅. Also eagerly waiting for ep 11.

Oh no I don't mean it isn't that instead I meant it should have been JUST that instead of the whole ex drama. I love slow burn romances but this whole second lead fiasco shouldn't have been a part of it. I love this drama don't get me wrong 😌 but I didn't really think the writer would go on this path when there were so many different directions that could have been taken. The support actors and their stories should enhance the quality of the drama not make people skip eps.
Like In FNOS every character had something going on and were not extremely annoying forcing me to skip (Even the 2fl made me chuckle and like her for her outgoing nature)
Fl's friend likes someone who doesn't return her internet and "2nd" leads get annoying after the mid point
I mean I would agree if it was a normal romcom but it isn't. It's a fantasy and healing drama too. There are so many side stories and even the ml's and fl's friends who could have interacted for more comedy I guess. The way they just put 2nd leads was pretty disappointing.
Similar dramas like mystic pop up bar, from now on showtime or even tomorrow kind of had the same 'side stories' theme going on but they were but better handled imo.
Missing the other side also tells the story of dead people but well it's different cause there's no romance (technically romance is present but it's tragic😅) but still it was very well done.
Why did they sabotage this really good drama with annoying second leads. The start was great ( although I did wish the side stories were a lil more powerful) but the second leads destroyed it for me. It should have been a healing drama with the leads slowly and steadily understanding each other ( no 2nd leads) with a few other side couples. This whole genre ( one story per ep ) is my favorite and no matter how many times I watch it I love it which is why I want the best for this drama😭
Was going to skip this bc even though I love sageuks, I’m really just into romance and/or romcoms. But the ratings…
Trust me I'm the same but this drama really made me watch it. The queen is genuinely a strong woman who isn't strong because she literally hits everyone or is creepy or abusive ( cafe minamdang and it's okay to not be okay crying in the corner lol)
She is warm hearted and loving and tries her hardest to protect her children. She doesn't depend on anyone else to solve her issues and her little victories against the villians just gives you the best feeling ever.
As for romance it's pretty light hearted and kind of funny.
I am watching ep 6 half way and just couldn’t understand why the Queen doesn’t even remember about Physician…
Personally I don't think you need to be cunning to protect anyone. She is a strong woman who instead of just mourning the death of her son did her best to protect her family and bring justice to the former cp. You should continue 🙂
