Post credits we see her face. So according to you, her mother eating fried chicken and then getting back together because she's alone...does that make sense? Whether she was alive or dead, FL always wanted her mother to be happy. And no, she is not dead. She is alive. :)
Interesting, I don't see any similarity between them. To me they look completely different.
Hmm... Well, obviously they'll be different if you pay attention to detail. However, if you look at them without much scrutinizing every detail, they do look similar. For example, if you are shown a picture of alps and then Himalayan, both would look the same. It's not because there's no difference but because they are both covered with a blanket of snow. So, if you do want to know difference, then you start scrutinizing.
It's a happy ending. Stop making it seem ambiguous...others will start believing you XD
Well, it does actually. Like you said, it did take up almost your entire daily life. So I just wanted you to know it's a happy ending ☺️. You live as the characters when you enjoy a drama.

The reason is because they didn't want to make it seem obvious that it has strayed too much away from the source material. Basically, they wanted everyone to be happy. The ones who liked the original ending. The ones who wanted a happy ending and the ones who wanted a mature but open ending

Actually, it's giving a narrative to the MLs thoughts through the song. When he first hears her voice, he doesn't think it's real...so he turns back to see her but he can't believe it. He questions himself whether it's a dream or a reality? But then, ML actually doesn't really care whether it's reality or a dream and waits for her to come into his arms. But once she comes into his arms it becomes a reality.
Definitely, it's not a sad ending. If you watch the mother... The mother eats fried chicken and gets back with her bf. She also says that she has come back just last week. So she came back with her daughter. I think the reason why ML cries is because he misses her. Last clip actually gives it away. First his expression is of surprise, because he wasn't expecting her, then it's relief. This means, she is alive. Although I do think that the writer wanted it to be ambiguous. But the director actually made it quite obvious that she is still alive
