This is one of those rare gems that can pack in romance, comedy and politics while keeping the right pace in story telling. Backed with good overall performances from casts, you can expect nothing less from this masterpiece. A solid 9.0 from me. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Episode 13 and 14 have are so generic. I wish to burn it out of my memory. :( All that character building just to make it all pointless. Bot ML and FL have become half-wits. And it's concerning.
How can the characterisations be both so exaggerated but so flat at the same time? Ji Hyuk is unrealistically…
Well, actually... Look around you not everyone agrees. All characters are flawed cuz their humans after all
Ji hyuk isn't actually saintly, he has just come to terms with his destiny. He knows he's gonna die so whatever he's doing is for himself. And that's basically seeing ji won becoming happy. Why? Because he regretted not admitting his own feelings for her in his 1st life. Which in itself is selfish. The most selfish thing you could do is live in another person's memory.
Ji won is a broken character, and she's in the process of putting herself together. Of course she never had a character to show cuz the drama started off showing an already broken character. So I agree, her character is all over the place and that's how it should be. Cuz even in the 12th episode, it clearly shows that she's trying to become a character that she could finally call 'herself'. Which fits perfectly cuz all of her life it has always been about 'others'.
Well, I would say that the most unimpressive characters would be su-min and ji-hyuk's exfiance. Their characters are NOT FLESHED OUT and rightly so cuz they aren't the primary main leads and the drama run time is only 16 episodes long.
However su-min's actress is just a fabulous actress who thoroughly owned her character. It's too early for me to say anything about ji-hyuk's ex-fiance's actress tho. I need to watch more of her to see how well she does.
Well well well. Episode 9 for is still best though. I think that's the climax of the show. I'm hoping the slope is smooth slope than a steep one. Really hoping this drama delivers
