It is supposed to air in the 2nd half of 2025 as it also takes a long time for post-production. Junho himself said it does take a long time even though there will be 8 episodes. I hope each 2 hrs long at least :).
At Mama Awards 2024, Lee Junho himself officially announced that he's about to film "Typhoon Boss" drama. I can hardly contain my enthusiasm for all his projects and diverse roles! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrQWFB3v9v8&t=52s
The power of the perfect love story and excellent acting and chemistry!!
"JTBC drama 'King the Land' won the grand prize at the 2024 Broadcasting Awards hosted by the Korea Communications Commission." (JTBC actually winning the top award in the entertainment category for two years in a row.)
The Korea Communications Commission commented, "At the time of its broadcast, it achieved the global No. 1 spot on Netflix and greatly contributed to the spread of the Korean Wave by exerting influence around the world, including in Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America."
Our gorgeous Lee Junho has graced us with an appearance in Jang DoYeon,'s YT talk show 'Salon Drip 2', displaying all his captivating charisma and charm, his contagious laughter, and many fascinating stories from his life. Is it really unpopular? cuz it was cringe in a lot of scenes and the ending was subpar at best.
Keep up with the news about KTL's top achievements if you want to comment. You are one forgettable commenter and if your faves had starred in King the Land and pulled off the roles of portraying ML and FL as successfully, you wouldn't hate it. Yours is not constructive criticism but hate. Grow up and educate yourself for your own sake. Reading about various subjects and keeping up good manners instead of the immature, disrespectful way you interact with people, goes a long way towards improving oneself. Good luck.

None of the dramas you mention are pure romcoms like this one. King the Land is a superb old-fashioned romcom with excellent actors, unmatchable chemistry, amazing photography, fun side characters, with all its flaws, and every drama has it, it was the most watched Kdrama in the world while it aired and one of top 5 globally at a yearly level. This is not a tropey school level love but shows how a healthy relationship should develop and function properly between two adults.
I like diverse genres, of course, but healthy relationship dramas like King the Land, superbly interpreted by Lee Junho and Im YoonA, are good for one's mental health and are a source of good vibes and inspiration fr.
After watching recent romantic K-dramas that have aired since King the Land up to now, I can confidently say that none of them holds a candle to King The Land in terms of true romance, acting, out-of-this-world chemistry between ML and FL, and excellent, believable acting by all the cast. Even the storyline. So many of these seem contrived to appear more interesting. Still too contrived. King the Land will always be a rom-com benchmark. It was perfectly executed in all its facets, albeit with its flaws (and what drama doesn't have them). My favorite take from this drama is the life lessons to learn about the healthy dynamics of a romantic relationship. Green-flag all the way.
A new kind of superhero is coming! Can't wait for Lee Junho to give life to a superhero character. He's been hanging from the ropes for months now for the stunt scenes and special effects. Junho said that the only spoiler he can give that it's going to be a combination of comedy, noir, action, and romance! WOW! Rooting for the worldwide success!
For Taecyeon's Japanese fans... He'll be in Tokyo for "K-Drama Fest 2024 with Studio Dragon" talk stage to talk about his spectacular role in "Vincenzo". Looking forward to his upcoming projects (3 of them filmed, filming or about to be filmed as of now).
I've watched the romcoms that came after King the Land and gotta say, all of them fall short. Be it in terms of acting or feels or comedic moments or dramatic moments or unmatchable chemistry between the ML and FL. There are numerous reasons why KTL soared to enormous heights globally. Ofc Lee Junho and YoonA being the main appeal and amazing acting from them and all the cast.
Literally. I'm having more fun watching it than King the Land and See you in my 19th Life.
I love King the Land very much too - it is a lighthearted romcom perfect for the hot summer. Lee Junho's charisma and acting could make anything top-notch. It's like reading a light romantic novel but full of hilarious comedic moments. Am tired of heavy dramas which often disappoint towards the end. Comedic acting is rather hard to pull off.
Heartbeat is literally one of the best dramas on air right now. It is different, refreshing and hilarious. Taecyeon and Wonjian are amazing in it. It is really well worth the watch.
King the Land is one of the best dramas in its light romantic comedy genre and that is what the promotional message has been from the beginning. The actors are amazing and make the drama awesome. Romcoms are like that. When you feel happy and fuzzy and laughing watching it, it's mission accomplished on all levels. It is also subverting lots of clichés if you understand it properly. If you feel like watching something more dramatic and deep, I recommend The Red Sleeve or Rain or Shine. King the Land is worth all the hype in its genre. There are much more cliché romcoms out there and they were still successful so suck it up and keep your envy to yourself.
Episode 5 was hilarious and the show is getting better and better and is consistently reversing the romcom clichés. The acting in this romcom is superb from both ML and FL and the rest of the cast. They make everything believable. Lee Junho showed what a magnificent dramatic actor he is in The Red Sleeve and here he displayed his extraordinary comedic skills: he acts with everything - from the tips of his fingers to his expressive eyes, eyebrow movement, lips, hairstyles, feet movement, his whole body is in it. YoonA is perfect for the role and her comedic acting is spot-on.
Loving this sageuk so far.
Does anyone have it on their Netflix? I still don't.
