It didnt really hit the mark for me personally; however, I am glad to see KJY in a show that is getting a lot of love. He's a great actor and hopefully this will lead to even bigger and better opportunities for him.
Not really...he's been acting quite a long time and has quite a bit of range in his characters. Some characters may have some similar characteristics but compared side by side each character he's played has their own unique personality. Dal Ja's Spring, The Lies Within, Behind Your Touch, Oh My Ladylord, My Liberation Notes, The Beauty Inside, Because This is My First Life -- a couple may share a trait or so but they are all unique characters.
For me it's more a shock that the guy seemed to be suffering from chronic insomnia & severe depression, was working…
You don’t honestly think he started out asking for propolfol do you? That’s not how it works. It never starts out with a person walking in to a doc asking for hospital grade medications. It starts out with less risky meds and if you end up with an unscrupulous doctor who cares more about money than patient safety and ethics it ends up with the serious addiction to hospital grade medications. By the time it gets to that point the addict is not able to withstand the physical dependence to come off it alone. The opioid epidemic never started out with OxyContin and Fentanyl…. that’s just where it ended up.

Addiction usually does last years, not weeks to a month or two. It is not addiction if you can just stop after a couple of weeks. Physical dependence to a substance can happen in as little as 7 days based on research on how the brain works chemically.
So yes, if you are suffering with addiction / mental health issues the first avenue always should be treatment, education and the mental health support to learn how to live again substance free as your brain chemistry readjusts -- which can take up to a full year for some people.
Expecting someone who is suffering from addiction to make logical choices is unrealistic and futile due to the chemical changes in the brain. Addicts are far more likely to recover through treatment, education and support in their community, not through throwing them away and shame. The biggest hurdle that people have to overcome in asking for help is embarrassment and shame. As long as societies continue to treat addiction and mental health issues as a moral failing, nothing will improve.
This is an excellent example of a drama using sex/nudity appropriately. Each scene is able to show character and relationships in a brief scene to make the viewer understand exactly the nature of relationships and character traits of each character. this drama is amazingly done.
i actually have a doubt. how chang wook( a popular and experienced ml in kdramas) accecpted to act explict scene…
How dare he want to grow and branch out as an actor taking roles that show his true range and talent. He definitely should only stick to fluffy repetitive g rated dramas replaying the same boring ML fluff role after role.
There are lots of great things about Ha-neul. She's the best at crying scenes... lots of actresses try to cry-pretty…
I think this is the 7th thing I’ve seen her in. I’ve tried but she just doesn’t work for me. I think the only show that I didn’t find her acting bothering me as much was 18 Again. interestingly I think I would have preferred Han Ji Eun in a more prevalent role.
I think if they’d switched up the roles a bit or if they had Kim Ha Neul take a stab at the psychiatrist it may have worked better for me. I find that when actors and actresses play the same character type over and over I get tired of their acting much quicker even they are acting well and especially when it feels like they are acting the same version of themself over and over.
Okay I love JSJ, I truly will watch anything he's in. I also really like KTH. Unfortunately there are so many points being deducted for me in other areas for this drama.
I absolutely do not like KHN. She cannot act. She plays the exact same character with the exact same presentation every single time. For rom coms she might throw in a hysterical screech once in awhile but otherwise its the same dang character every single time. I've seen a lot of her work and it drives me bonkers.
There is far, far to much random guessing in here used as a plot device which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Even in the world that the writer creates, it is not believable that these characters would behave the way they do and do the things they do.
I do not find the chemistry there between the FL and either ML -- probably because of that same dumb look that KHN has any time she looks at a male character in a show. I also find it completely unbelievable that either ML would be madly in love with this FL and yet behave the way they do.
There is a lot of mess here...but, as I said...I watch anything JSJ is in.
