Thats fair. I watched Jasper in Viva Fermina not long ago and the guy can act. Use for My Talents with Shen Yue by far his worst drama i have seen anyway.
Just my opinion and you can see many people view these things different just saw 2 leads really deliver. Leo Wu more i am watching this one is imposing himself and feel abit with ZYT, but not great deal but again its possibly how they intend to deliver it bit by bit building....
I see alot of chemistry with the leads and supports..... this drama is fantastic
maybe did go bit far, just feel little spark but slow build drama. not uncommon for this genre. yer been doing it for a while plus in many classics already at young age. agree record speaks for itself.
She is good in this drama. For me super consistent super brilliant so not surprised you would say that. I have liked her better in Remembrance of Things Past & even Fall in Love with a Scientist.
I know Scientist drama didn't score as well but really enjoyed Jasper & ZYT and chemistry with the cast. This is what ZYT does brings an entire cast alive in a drama.
This drama is still very very good. Obviously will be competing with Til the End of The Moon as of tomorrow however I think alot of people can agree this cast is actually more likable when I compare the 2 casts.... different tones each drama, one more lighter & another more darker.... Fun for the fans having multiple nice dramas to watch....
Credit to this production team with going in with alot of young casts, some fairly raw aswell.... i think mostly they have held up well.... Xia Hao Ran & Ma Fan Ding.... both i think in time will be good enough at the Main Lead level.... i think offers will come their way for more nice supporting roles.....
Mark Ma most impressed with, only 17 however he is a veteran actor compared to most in this drama. Its his age keeping him from medium budget Main Lead roles. So much experience yet everytime I see him just continues to improve/develop.... Definitely has the tools for the Main Lead level & think can appeal to many fan base demographics.....
Leo Wu & Zhou Yutong look just fine. Both different ages however both at their primes.... when looking at Douban & MDL, both have nice upcoming dramas with good casts so both still trending well & both popularities still solid....
Falling into You with Gina Jin i thought was better.... turned on the charms with in that drama. I felt he was really into his role, caring nature.... Hidden God I have seen clips, i really do hope we see it again from him....
I hope you see exactly where i am coming from, more the consistency side rather than few patches of brilliance here and there. Wang Anyu i liked him after Falling into You, before that not so big on him....
Hey plenty dramas i drop because dont feel it.... Leo Wu I finish his dramas, so hope thats an indicator i see positives.... Cross Fire for me, one of his best dramas, at his comfort zone.... surely this is why he got big pushes for Long Ballard....Hey others i used to be big on who not so anymore.... it works both ways lol....
He is a star, proven it time & time again already in 2 big classics with 2 of this generations biggest female leads. So young. I haven't dropped this drama for big reason
I don't mind him, maybe it's the slow build but just want more of a spark. There is still a second half to this drama. I am more of Zhou Yutong fan I have said few times. I think plenty male leads are close to their best when doing dramas with her. Just my opinion. You know what is funny, last year I felt similar about Wang Anyu until Falling Into You, I said finally getting the performance waiting so long out of him, we will see it again, only 22. I am a fan but I know this is a process & as a Zhou Yutong fan I don't think she is at her best either
This drama really enjoying but I feel the experiencing of the mature cast is showing more & more while the inexperience of Leo Wu & others also showing too

The Coach is the MVP for me!.... I know the stars are Leo Wu & Zhou Yutong but seriously give us more of The Coach 'Zhang Tao' & his storyline with Zhou Yutong girlfriend housemate 'Jiang Pei Yao'.... This is coming together exceptionally well!....
Lesson for Leo Wu.... experience is something you will gain over the coming years, but guys like this with more experience will outperform you with basics charm.... However still excellent by the cast including the leads, i see both Leo Wu & Zhou Yutong as the Masters of Ceremonies in a fine drama.

I have super soft spot for him. He was second Lead in The Old Dreams. Missed out on Jelly Lin in that drama to Gao Zhi Ting however this would be perfect continuation plus fits so well in this drama. 2 fun chatacters

Douban still indicator. We only know roughly 5% of what happens on the mainland with their TV. How they view stars different to how international fans view them. Heaps of haters too on MDL
people make a big fuss about ratings.... seriously its douban ratings that count, MDL ratings count for nothing in my opinion.... so many rubbish dramas get good ratings on here and get exposed fully on douban..... Chinese voters are less sympathetic towards bad performances.....
I think very solid drama, enjoying it.... i think the support cast are really shining.... most great dramas have excellent support cast..... Xia Hao Ran & Mark Ma as team mates really adding great value as supports.... Mark Ma only 17, seriously I have been watching this guy for years, surely not long now until he is an adult as good enough for Main Lead role.... This kid has been acting since 12 and with so many big names like Zhao Lusi, Yang Yang, Yang Mi.... has personality & charisma to pull it off....
Zhou Yutong very good as always.... I have never seen her in a bad performance, one of the best actresses in C-Drama.... Leo Wu, look not my cup of tea but is ok, been good for me.... its the supports I am more excited about if I am being honest....
Qin Lan can seriously act.... So gorgeous & talented for her age, she out performs so many junior actresses with quite ease. She needs a top Male Lead to lift ratings for dramas, thats the issue....
Wang Hedi in Rational Life last good drama as he was on the rise.... as a Wang Hedi fan i seriously wouldn't mind a Qin Lan/Wang Hedi reunion....
