I am literally watching the drama for this couple. I know they will be facing a hurdle as high as a mountain but…
Their hurdle is going to be as high as the mountain and as deep as the sea. I don’t see their issues ever getting better until we’re well into 40 something part of the episode
That’s not how the law works. I get where you’re coming from, but legally, she couldn’t have pleaded self-defense…
Me either. Because I do understand why they did it. But that would mean we live in utopia. It would be nice if the law would also look at the situation of people however it doesn’t and that’s a very harsh get sadly reality for many people
I loved it and I cried so hard but sadly I didn't get the ending or I wished they explained more but overall good…
Basically she gives up her daughter for adoption and she becomes a government employee. We see her employee certificate on the ironing board and her daughter with the two people. She wanted everything bad that happened to her to be a dream. And just like SaRang she chose to protect her daughter. Looks like she finally accepted her and loved her but she also knew that keeping her would not be the best option.
This movie shows one of the things I don't understand about SK, similar to "When the Weather is Fine" how when…
That’s not how the law works. I get where you’re coming from, but legally, she couldn’t have pleaded self-defense because she repeatedly hit that bastard in the head multiple times. If she had struck him once, there might have been an argument for self-defense, but since she attacked him after he had already assaulted her, that defense wouldn’t hold up.
Self-defense laws often require that the threat be immediate and proportional to the response. In her case, she was already assaulted, and her repeated attacks on the perpetrator after the fact likely made it difficult to argue that she was acting in self-defense rather than in retaliation.
If I were her defense attorney, I’d argue temporary insanity instead. After experiencing such a traumatic attack and then hearing him threaten to assault her mother and kill her, she wasn’t in a rational state of mind. That kind of trauma can push someone into a dangerous psychological state.
From a moral and ethical perspective, many would argue that she was a victim who acted out of trauma, fear, and desperation. The justice system tends to focus on strict legal definitions rather than the full context of someone’s emotions and circumstances. In reality, some legal systems might have given her a reduced sentence or considered mitigating factors, but in many places, the law isn’t always sympathetic to victims who retaliate outside of the immediate moment of danger.
Didi you even bother to read the summary of the movie? It said it’s set in a fictional era of Joseon. so of course nothing they depict will be close to any historical fact! This is quite common. How many fictional historical movies/shows are there that we’ve all watched? There’s countless. If you have a problem dont watch it
I like this. It’s very chaotic and easy to watch. You don’t need to think about anything thing just watch and enjoy it. The antics of all the characters are something else. It’s quite an easy watch
It’s nice to see Hwang Min Hyun play a badass. His characters have always been very nice, very cutesy, very demure, very calm and collected. This time he’s Mr. Nice Guy with killer fists. His character isn’t some pacifist Kumbaya guy. He’s a straight up badass who just so happens to suck at studying
Hwang Min Hyun is a good boy,why they make him madman?😂🤦♀️
because the characters he plays are never like that. I think it’s really good and nice. I’ve never seen him play such a role before. He’s always Mr Nice. I mean he’s still Mr Nice but he’s a badass
You’re definitely rightWhen it came to the romance between Jeong Suk and Dohyeon, I think we could’ve done…
Exactly!
When it came to the romance I’d have preferred a bit more from it. They could’ve added a conflict in their romance where she struggled to allow herself to be with Dohyeon and not make the same mistakes she made with her ex. Also I think they failed with not to involve her son alot more. He was the reason she even entered the lingerie business so she could provide for him. So it would’ve been nice to see them involve him a bit more and have him find out what kind of job she did. This could’ve perfectly set the stage for his dynamic with his father as well and hiw he interacts with his mom. Because we saw JuRi’s son and the way he was content with his mom being a single mother. This was shown when he first met Jeong Suk’s son and right off the bat told him that his mother is a single mom and he shouldn’t judge her and if he has a problem with it they shouldn’t be friends.
Another thing I noticed was that it seemed the romance plot for her was something they were playing with in the beginning. Becaus wit kinda looked like they weren’t heading in that direction but then they did. Cause even when Dohyeon started liking her, she was never focused on him in that way. So that was an odd choice they made. With JuRi I understood why they gave her romance. Her character was already set up to have that plus it was almost somewhat expected. But with Jeongsuk that was never the case.
I have an observation/question to make: I have just completed my watch, and was rather unsatisfied with the end,…
You’re definitely right
When it came to the romance between Jeong Suk and Dohyeon, I think we could’ve done without it. She was perfectly fine on her own. I’d have preferred if they’d just cut him out and show us what life was like for her as a newly single/divorced woman. That would have been a more interesting subplot. Instead we got a romance which quite frankly felt forced and was written like a filler. I think the writers needed something else to “catch our interest” however they failed to realize that these characters were perfectly fine on their own. Anything else was just a stage to further dive into their lives, personal situation etc…
I know it a common thing to give female leads romance but not every story needs that. In regard to the kidnapping plot, I never felt drawn to it. It was rather dull and unsatisfactory. I believe if they wanted to make him mysterious because they leaned into that a bit when he first came, they could’ve taken a different route as to why a big city cop would move to a small countryside town.

His storyline was useless and felt forced. In the midst of the entire plot his felt odd. They tried to have it fit but it really didn’t
