I just watched the trailers for ep 18 and 19....I can sense the heartbreak coming...I wonder what Mo xi is going to do when BFY and WJG get married...She looks so hurt in some of the behind-the-scenes and mvs I've seen...

I'm actually excited about this...I kind of like the idea of him and mo xi.

They do but only on the china version of the website. Not the international one. So you have to type in iqiyi china and then enter the native title for this drama in the search bar to find the trailers.

If they did this I would actually be happy because the ending in the novel is super sad to me. BFY got somewhat of a happy ending but Mo Xi's ending wasn't that happy...

Yeah...It's still worth the watch. If you want a happy ending just don't watch the last 5 to 6 minutes of the last episode.

In the novel CWD dies protecting Mo xi and from some of the clips I've seen in the mvs and trailers I don't think that's going to change. Also, Mo xi and FY get separated due to the people the end up with/their marriages. I think in the end they might have them reunite instead of going the novel route where Mo xi sends FY something to let her know she's alive. I think this cause in one of the mvs we see FY shocked at seeing Mo xi in a passing carriage.

It's most likely going to be bitter sweet. I'm going to leave a spoiler comment down below.

I've watched a couple of the mvs and trailers and based on that I feel like the major events that happened in the book are still going to take place in the show.

I honestly don't mind too much. I just wish that the airing schedule was faster.

I really hope that unlike the book, Mo xi and FY eventually reunite towards the end. I see that they are changing a lot of things/adding stuff which is nice so hopefully they change that part too.

I can't read Chinese unfortunately. I can only understand small bits and pieces of mandarin. I used google lens for the character chart so I can tell you the basic gist of the character chart...

The arrows between Moxi and FY state that they are cousins/relatives.
The arrow from CWD to Moxi says something about unrequited love. So basically he likes her.
Arrow from empress dowager (young) played by Yang Chao Yue to her brother, states that they are brother and sister.
Arrow between her brother and CWD states that they are enemies basically.
Arrow from the brother to girl in red (sorry idk her name) states that they are enemies.
Arrow from Feng Yan to Feng Ming states that they are brother and sister/relatives.
Arrow from Zhou Po Zi to Empress Dowager, basically Zhou Po Zi works for her/is her servant?? Not too sure but it's something like that. Maybe her wet nurse? Not sure.
Double-sided arrow from Mo xi to girl in green/red is signifying friendship.
The girl to the right of FY is Shen Shu Mo's sister.
The rest of the arrows in that right corner are basically just showing who works for who.
