It's so weird because this is the first cdrama where I've seen this type of thing. Normally they know what's going on and agree to the evilness/are evil themselves but this drama tried to make him seem like he's this great loving person which was...hmmm.

LMAO, The Emperor is the dumbest my god. She killed your children, tried to kill one of your wives and you tell your son to let her go and she immediately tries to kill you. He has officially been crowned the dumbest emperor ever. It's insane. And ik y'all hate hearing this, but he wasn't like this in the book. I love everything else about this show, but his character...wtf. How are you a ruler and you are that stupid.

I've seen clips on Douyin...I'm tired...when is the eldest princess going offline? If she successfully kills JS's father before he presents the evidence I'm going to be so mad. I need her to be burned at the stake atp. Lmao, is that too far? She's just so annoying. They are dragging out her death too much. We only have a couple of episodes left, and the whole 'crown prince being deposed' thing hasn't been addressed yet.

I remember that, but I'm saying she's a bad mother because from what we've seen, not once did she check up on him or his well being secretly like his father did, which she very well could have. Additionally, the conversation she had about him with her other son. She's not a good mother to YQ.

Slightly annoyed that they changed MY being forced to marry that other prince to her trying to force YQ to marry her. And even after kneeling, his father was still going to force him to marry her. It's only because the ex-brother-in-law showed up, that she couldn't go through with the marriage. Which is annoying af tbh. I'm getting this based on all the clips of this on Chinese douyin. But at least she will still die and JS/YQ will be happily married.

I'm sorry. It's not that I hate the show, I don't. I would have dropped it or stopped watching, but the emperor's insane love for the eldest princess is driving me nuts. Which is why I keep ranting. The forced marriage thing would be more bearable if he wasn't just doing that to the son he abandoned to please his sister.

If there was an actual logical reason, I could somewhat understand, but there isn't. It's not like this is an arranged marriage to help with war or peace with a foreign country, it's just to please that ridiculous sister of his. To top it off, she's done so much harmful scheming that has hurt his children yet he doesn't even suspect her of doing anything bad, etc., and it upsets me.

Literally. Was so annoyed. Her ending was so good in the novel. The fact she doesn't die by his hands is very annoying.
