I really wonder how she's gonna get out of this because of the look LY's mom had. Even CSS's parents looked at each other. I can't 😆. Then the next episode previews she goes to talk to him privately. I wonder if this is when the slap happens from one of the trailers, however...CSS is wearing different clothes I think?...

I think towards the middle and end yes, but in the beginning she will definitely have more problems. I guess happier wasn't the right wording. I more so meant easier because right now CSS thinks an easy life equates to happiness which is why she wants LY for a husband because she thinks it will allow her to have an easier life than before despite how the luo family's first chamber acts. I like her and LBY together out of all the couple parings but them being together is definitely going to come with a lot of hardships.

I never understood why people thought her life would be happier. He’s literally a prince and her family has no way of protecting her from his family and she can’t say no to anything.

Lmao how was she supposed to know what to call the emperor or how to greet him when she’s literally never been taught that. Like her parents didn’t bother to teach her etiquette at all. I’m wondering how she’s gonna get out of that. Lmao 🤣 hopefully LBY helps but the look he gave her says otherwise.

Also for episode 21 that’s so sad…I wonder what made her attend their wedding thing…was it LBY like in the book? I feel so bad for LY he has to spend the rest of his life with a woman he doesn’t even love/doesn’t get along with and the woman he thought would fight through it together with him won’t (not that I blame CSS I get why she’s not).

No, the rebel soldier did not kill and dismember people for a good cause. It was because they were promised wealth and power and that is who she was referring to. Also, when the rebels were captured they literally tried to lie and say they were forced and once they got caught in their lie they said they would turn into ghosts and haunt her.

I don't think she meant it like that. LBY just took it that way. She meant people who take innocent lives for selfish reasons like the rebel soldiers.

I wish china didn't ban the fast track lmao. I would pay because I'm so impatient. I love this arch that they are in so that's not the issue it's just I want to watch all the episodes now...

It's so much...lol. I'll make a list of a few things.
1. After they meet for the first time after 5 years he walks towards her like a mad man, helps her down from a horse?? Forgot but he does something in front of a lot of people that causes everyone to talk. Rumors spread.
2. He tries to pull CSS aside to talk, YS sees and he ends up in a carriage with her him and 5th prince, there he proposes to her again and tells them they are not a good match and to break up
3. At a banquet he sits beside YS and this one princess who likes to start problems asks about it. He then tells everyone they are talking about CSS. After this, he goes to talk to CSS again. I forgot what he said.
4. Spreading rumors to get CSS and YS to break up
5. Using dirt on his new fiancé to break them up.
6. Rebiting CSS when her matching bite mark is fading and begging her to take him back. Trying to explain to her why he did what he did sort and that everyone is helping them/speaking for him because they can see she still loves him. Rumors spread among the nobles about this because they get caught lol. It makes its way back to YS family. CSS's family calls off the engagement. YS still stubborn.
7. He reveals to YS all the things he did to help YS family get back to power and to be okay so that CSS can have a good life and the other things he did during the 5 years to protect CSS even though he was far away from her.

I am definitely forgetting things and some details but he did a lot. Lmao.

Oh, I forgot to rant about CSS's mom.

Seriously, what is wrong with that woman.
While I agree with her on not rushing into a marriage with someone, how could she just dismiss all the things CSS did. They literally almost died. So if CSS had died what would she say? Would she blame her for that as well? I can already imagine it, she'd definitely blame her death on her and say that if she was like Yangyang it would have never happened.

I've disliked a lot of characters but not as much as I dislike and I think it stems from the fact that she clearly thinks that the way she's treating CSS is fair/just and that it's tough love when really it's just cruelty. I am so glad CSS said what she said to her towards the end of episode 14. She needed to hear that.

Ik everyone is upset that we aren't at the LBY and CSS arch yet but guys, this is how the novel went and it makes them getting together more rewarding...Also, if yall are upset now, yall are really gonna be upset when they get together at first...

Lastly, why are people hating on LY? He's such a sweet boy. And this relationship is important for CSS because it'll allow her to appreciate herself instead of always seeing her downfalls. She's never had someone care for her the way LY does. Also, is it really wrong for the main female lead to experience other love interests before the main lead? In real life, how many people only end up being with their first love and no one else? Even in most dramas that does not happen.

The story that this cdrama is based on was written by the same person that wrote A story of minglan so knowing that it's gonna take a while for LBY and CSS to get together. In "a story of minglan", they weren't together until episode 30, and even then the main female lead didn't fall in love until much later.

I prefer this route in dramas/tv shows because it's much more realistic. In real life, people do not fall in love at first sight. How can you love someone you don't even know at first sight? That's not love, that's lust or at best taking an interest in them.

You remember the girl LY was previously engaged with? Well something major happens that her family (brothers and dad) get involved with. Due to that, they get executed and she has no one to depend on but LY. CSS has been through a lot at this point and has changed a bit. She understands LY duty and decides to call things off. Then LBY immediately after that announces that he will marry her at a banquet. As for how she is engaged to YS, after she calls off her engagement with LBY, YS is interested in her and expresses it but she rejects him sorta. Then the empress basically states that she wants to see CSS get married before she dies. To fulfill her wish, CSS looks for someone. She then decides to give YS a chance. They become engaged. This engagement then ends because LBY decides he cant watch her marry someone and keeps pestering her because he knows she still loves him and she doesn't love YS. That's where the him asking her not to be so cruel to him part comes in. This occurred during a major fight that they had. After this she calls off the engagement with YS. Her and LBY don't get married until she can confirm her feelings for him herself and she does and they get reengaged.

Because CSS called off the engagement after LBY abandoned her and she helped clear his name. She only decides to get married to YS after five years cause he kept begging her before but she refused. Then she finally caved in because the empresses wanted to see her get married before she dies and YS was a good match.

I figured that's what it was but I was so confused about him talking about betraying her in the previews. I thought it had something to do with her family which made me sad cause I hate troops where the ML or the FL finds out that their loved ones family caused their families deaths.

I actually like her with all her love interests. I wish she could marry all of them lmao. I love seeing all of her interactions with them. This is a first for me because normally I have a favorite when there are many potential love interests but they all have qualities that I actually enjoy watching.

It seems to me like CSS and LY break up because of something that happens to that other girl's family. But from the few clips, it looks like he's reluctant. Also, does anyone know why she was holding a knife when LBY hugged her?

I can wait to see her interactions with the empress. Also, lol, I wasn't expecting her to hate him. I wonder if she hates him during the first part of their engagement or if it's prior to that. Also the scene where he says she's the best woman in the world...I fell like that's the part of the novel where people in the court are trying to humiliate her. Poor girl.
