I wonder if anyone else notice Consort Chu (The Crown Prince's wife, the one that help CSS escaped 3rd princess),…
On one of the character charts it says that LBY and the 3rd prince are best friends. So I think this entire time they are probably really good friends but they can't meet or be too open about it because right now the 3rd prince and the crown prince are fighting for the position of crown prince.
In ep 30, what does LBY mean about taking back his heart(?)
I think he means that he will stop trying to win her affections (even though we all know that's not true). I don't think it means he will stop loving her because he's already too far gone. In the previous episodes when she told him to leave her life he said yes but then the following episode he tells her he can't let her go. He's only saying this because he wants her to fully open up to him and realize she likes him too.
Anyone know what events lead up to that from the book? If yes- plz reply with spoiler. I'm just super curious…
In the book it was the emperor's idea and LBY figured it out because the beating wasn't like a normal beating so he just played his role. He even pretended to pass out in her arms. I feel like in the drama they may still go the same route because from some clips I've seen CSS and LBY will fight again.

In the book I think LBY got punished because he did something he wasn't supposed to do because he was fighting with CSS and the emperor mentioned that he was getting "punished" for CSS. The punishment in the book isn't real. It's just a test to make CSS realize how much LBY means to her and to get them to stop fighting. In the book it mentioned how what LBY got punished for he would never normally get punished for. I forgot exactly what he did but yeah it's because him and CSS were fighting. Idk if this is going to remain the same in the drama though.
Yes, like @CNKRDramaFan said, it has to do with the Crown Prince, but also, in the relationship chart from part 1 their connection is labeled as "besties" so I didn't think this was too much of a spoiler.
From the previous episode (when SS is rescued by LBY at the pagoda), the voice that indicates usurping the crown…
Oh really? I couldn't tell. I heard a voice that sounded like his uncles voice but not 3rd prince. I saw that some people think that LBY was there talking with them so that would make sense.
Lol I've been spamming this page a lot, but I just remembered something. Lmaoooo did LBY really say that CSS started all this when they met and she took out the arrow from him? He's such a crust. How did she start anything? I'm actually dying of laughter. He really told her she made him fall in love with him.
Sidenote: something I've noticed about this drama is although the women in this drama always insult CSS, they never fail to point out how good-looking she is. Lmao. Like say what you want about my girl but you can't call her ugly.
Now that we have seen the previews for the next episodes, I still can't help but wonder why CSS's mother slaps her and why the family looks at her in disappointment. I feel like this will probably occur closer to when the Queen has some issues...maybe after the 5-year gap. I am also wondering why the 3rd prince and LBY's relationship will be revealed to the audience. So far we haven't seen them interact much and their friendship is actually something I'm looking forward to seeing in this drama.
Something I thought was worth mentioning, Consort Yue doesn't have the kind of power she has just because the emperor loves her. While that is a part of it, it also has to do with the fact that they have spent a lot more time together than the Queen has with the emperor. So Consort Yue can bring up things that happened in the past to defend a current situation whereas the Queen cannot. For instance, in the situation with the older princess where the emperor almost died, I don't think the Queen was there when that happened. While she may know the details she can't bring up things she wasn't present for. Also, as the Queen said earlier, she had a rough childhood just like CSS and while she might want to defend herself, her weakness is her family so it's hard for her to say anything.
So far I really like the Empress, Emperor, and Consort Yue. This is the first drama like this where I have seen characters like them all be kind-hearted.... as for their children...it's unfortunate that their daughters did not pick up this trait.
I think in the episode that showed the trailer for the Queen's birthday, the 5th princess is going to try to ruin the birthday celebration but I'm not sure how. I don't know if they will stick to the book route or if they will just do the drowning thing.
I have so many thoughts... I'll start with the newest episodes: I was laughing most of the time. LBY training the family, the grandma threatening them, CSS escaping, the drunk scene, CSS answering the questions about how to be a good wife to LBY. I was smiling most of the time. Also, him saying he can't let her go and being able to clearly read her personality. I know that LBY is toxic in ways but I can't help but love him and CSS together. I am so happy that this drama came out this year.
Things I am curious about: I am still wondering why CSS's mom slaps her... It wouldn't make sense for her to slap her when she's engaged to YS because in the book I don't remember that happening and she was super reluctant to marry him. I know some things in the drama are subject to change but based on what we've seen so far I just can't wrap my head around why her mom would slap her. Does anyone have any ideas?
Trailers: Omggg guys...she finally calls him by his given name and he calls her by her nickname I am so excited!! Also, it seems like they changed who the main bad princess is. It seems to be third princess instead of 5th princess from the previews. Also, just to clarify, is that their wedding banquet/engagement banquet?? I am slightly confused.
