Then cue the xiyan arc and everything she has to go through. At that point, she's probably just tired of it all. It's not hard to understand why she wants to leave her ml identity behind and forget everything. Anybody in her situation would be angry, probably even more angry than she was. Especially if they only knew the details she knew at that point. She didn't know about the leeches etc.

Well...it's complicated. So, they get married, she dies, then this sequence happens that shows what would have happened had his brother not set him up, then it skips to his coronation as king and he dies in a chair...so it's kind of happy...but sad lmao.

For cdramaland, it's technically a happy ending. They got married before she died and then reincarnated and met each other again. So tbh, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. And she died still next to him.
