Yeah, I felt like it was pretty clear that it's a happy ending. Especially too because the way the ending was shot is in line with a lot of other scenes in the drama that weren't dreams. That's why I didn't see that scene as a dream sequence or as an afterlife sequence. And WJY said that it was a happy ending before they even reshot the special. She would not say it's a happy ending if they did not truly reunite with each other.

Guys, XH did not die. It is a happy ending. In the novel this is based on, it also seemed like he died but didn't. Additionally, as many have pointed out in previous comments, there are so many signs that the last sequence is real. So in short, this was a bittersweet ending because XH and XFF are alive and reunited. It's sad because LJ and WJ are dead as well as Tong'er and JL. But all in all, the leads are alive. This ending is not the same as AJTL's ending.
