This is what he does though. He's done these kind of weirdo endings with other dramas I've watched of his.

They keep doing them in every single drama and I'm over it. Either go all the way with the sad ending or make it happy.

If someone told me when I first started watching this drama that towards the end, I'd be seeing people in this comment section and on Weibo blaming JL/XFF for evil things Wanning does, I would not have believed you. It's so crazy. Let's list some of the things Wanning has done so far:

1. Steal someone else husband
2. Get said husband to kill his wife under the threat that if they did not, she'd kill his family
3. Attempted murder of countless people simply because they slightly upset her
4. Feng Yu Tang and all his crimes including rape, torture, feeding someone to his dog, etc. (He's one of her underlings. He got his power from her so his crimes are included in this list)
5. Killing her trusted doctor simply because she didn't want anyone to find out about her pregnancy despite him serving her faithfully for what seemed to be several years
6. Private prisons to torture people
7. Attempting to murder XFF in court in front of everyone without a care in the world
8. Attempting to murder the guys she claims to love by getting XFF/JL to shoot an arrow at him and then later blaming XFF/JL for something she aided/abetted and wanted
9. The ghost plot
10. Finding out the guy that she's obsessed with tried to rape his ex-wife and being okay with that
11. Being a rape victim and yet somehow still being okay with others experiencing something so horrible

There's definitely more that I am forgetting but I made this list to say that while Wanning's past suffering was horrible, it does not in any way shape, or form justify any of the things she's done. Additionally, you guys cannot be over here trying to push the blame for her actions onto other people just because you now know her backstory and feel sorry for her. She is responsible for her own actions as we all are.

If tomorrow I decided to kill someone and you find out I had a horrible past, does my horrible past now justify killing some random innocent person? No. And I don't get why some people don't understand that.

I get why she lied to her brother but honestly...she should tell him eventually...at least when he gets better...

I wasn't trying to attack you in my comments nor was I making assumptions...I was just going based off of what you asked...some people like to watch dramas based on the romance and there isn't anything wrong with that....it's just that this drama is a slow burn, so I was basically giving you my opinion on the type of drama it is/level of romance it has since you asked me...

There's not much kissing. They do have some, but it's towards the end. They do hold hands a lot though. And the flirting/chemistry is good. If you are looking for something with a lot of kissing or the main focus is romance, this isn't the show for you because the main focus here is revenge. It's a really good show though so I would still check it out if I were you.
