I was reading the comments and I noticed that no one talks about the second couple. Maybe I’m not the only one…
I've seen people talk about them on twitter. I think people like them. I like them. It's just this show has so much to focus on so people don't talk about them as much.
There's a little homeless boy who is holding the book towards the end and becomes the new "fortune writer". So I'm wondering what/who is behind the entity controlling everything.

I'm sorry for all my rants it's just I was so shocked 😭 I'm almost certain they will change that part that I mentioned because starting the show off like that would leave a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.

I never said anything about blind love in my comment. I said that the male lead is a pos and the female lead loves him anyway meaning that despite what he did to her in the beginning, she eventually ends up loving him. The man raped her and planned it out as well and then tried to play it off like it was not intentional when it was! That is simply unforgivable in my opinion.
I compared this plot to vertical dramas because this type of plot happens a lot in them. The female lead will initially hate the male lead (rightfully so) but in the end she ends up forgiving and loving him despite all the things he's done. Isn't that what's happening here?
I love enemies to lovers but the fact that this story starts off that way it does is weird. This is the first time I have read a novel that an upcoming drama is based on where the first couple of chapters is about a rape scene. So it rubbed me the wrong way. Nonetheless, like I said, I still plan on supporting the drama because I like the actors.
See this comment that a Chinese reader of the novel made:❤️Egret, the writer, does not deliberately pursue…
This comment does not excuse what he did tbh. I know he's not supposed to be a good/moral character but a flawed one, but this character is still messed up. I'm still going to watch the drama when it comes out but tbh, the whole thing gives me vertical drama vibes.
I read the first couple chapters of the novel...the male lead is a pos. Tbh, it's giving me the same vibes of those vertical dramas where the ml is horrible and the female lead loves him anyway. I hope they change somethings because I really like the current actors listed for this and want to support them.
Also, the fact she still helped her brother after what he did to her. Wtf. If it were me tbh I'd have cut everyone off a long time ago.
Edit: I spoke too soon. Lmao, it went from being a 8 something to now 7 something. Oh well.
