She's not the second female lead. GYX doesn't have a relationship with her. She's the emperor's wife. It's just that she's obsessed with GYX. Idk if they will still keep that part though. Cause for example, in the trailers there's a scene where GYX is fighting against soldiers and the emperor is shouting at him asking if it's worth it, but from what I remember in the book that didn't happen. GYX instead stabbed himself.

No, these kids are unrelated to the grabbing of children that we have seen. She doesn't have the kids grabbed. They find poor families, pay them and say that they will give the kids a better life. Idk if the drama is going to change this or not though because it was wild af reading it. The way they found out about it was wild too and HY almost got away with her ploys.

Read my reply to FallingSlowly88. She basically kidnaps children and fattens them up like chicken to take their heartblood to make a special drink for the emperor that makes him feel better/"cures" his illness but it's making him really sick.

Tbh idk because the novel is super long. So they will probably shorten her arc or they are going to use these last couple episodes for her arc.

It's not. She's in the trailer. She's the one that looks like she's playing golf. She's seen wearing a similar headdress to HZ in one of the trailers.

So...it's not soup. She's been making a sort of elixir using the heart blood from young children that she keeps caged in a room. She had people lie to them that they would be given a good life and they are taken to the palace is secret. At first they are fed really well but she's doing that to fatten them up so she can then harvest them basically.

GYX later finds out that the emperor technically knew what she was doing. It's really messed up and I'm probably not describing it will but she's a messed up individual.

Hao Yue is the emperor's consort. Well, I forgot if she's the consort or if he made her empress. But either way, she's one of his wives and she's younger and very scheming. She was reborn except she doesn't come from a different time-period, she comes from the same one they are currently in. So because of that and other things such as her wit, she's able to predict some things and influence the emperor. She's really crusty and has a slight obsession with GYX in the novel.

Yes, she's so crazy tbh. When that arc comes people are going to be shook. I wonder if they are going to change some things though because tbh I've never seen a plot like that (referring to the ... soup ... and the room ... you know what I mean) before.

I wanted to add my take to this comment but before I do I just wanted to say that while I don't agree I'm not trying to come off as attacking you. I just wanted to contribute my own thoughts to this discussion.
Anyways, as stated I don't fully agree with this take. You made a lot of good points but I still don't think HZ is exploiting her.
Here are my reasons for why:
Given FD's status and her confidence level, even if she went on her own and opened her own business, her level of success would not be the same as HZ's.

Additionally, HZ did not force her to stay. She could have left and in the beginning episodes when HZ first came up with the business idea, this was something she seemed to be considering. With or without FD, HZ would have found someone to help with cooking etc. for her business ideas.

Also in the initial episodes, we saw HZ be apart of the process to make snacks etc. And, FD is getting paid more than the other maids and has a higher position/more responsibility. If FD wanted a pay raise and had the confidence to ask for it, I'm sure HZ would give her one.

Lastly, HZ seems to be the one who comes up with ideas for the snacks etc./innovation. For example, when they made the candied snack and other competitors started copying them, she's the one that came up with the slideshow to make their business stand out. She's also the one who came up with the apple idea where they had different sayings or marks on them and she timed it so that other competitors could not copy them. I really don't think FD would have thought to do any of these things. I'm not saying she's not super valuable but I'm saying that while great, the value FD has to HZ is somewhat replaceable, whereas the value HZ has to FD is not. The chance of FD finding someone to provide her with the things HZ provides her is slim.

It's explained more in the book. They only have so many episodes they aren't going to spend a lot of time of each character. But in the novel, it's very clear that HJ is not a good person. She's not a redeemable character. Yes, her abuse is terrible and she does not deserve that no matter how horrible she is, but the way you are painting her out is simply false. It is possible to be a bad person while simultaneously being abused/facing abuse.

Where are you getting this from? I thought the little brother and the big brother were okay. But then again, I skipped a lot of chapters.

Last comment, the comments that people made about HZ's maid FD I agree with. I get being afraid because that's her father and he's been abusive since she was young but girl, how do you have such a brave mistress, and yet none of that has rubbed off on you even a little bit? Sigh...
