You can give it a try. The story picked up from ep 4. FL is not childish and ML well as always ZLH's character is not disappointing. A green flag. Two support characters are also playing their part well. No unnecessary love triangle. Till now story is progressing well and it is coming from someone like me who is not into xianxia genre.

ML for a daylight drama is definitely an upgrade in his resource and him getting it through audition proves even prestigious production who are known for not working with traffic actors also acknowledge his skill

it is not possible for any actor to have good dramas always. Those who hates him I am sure the actors they stan, they also has one or two bad projects. what important how he has performed. And i believe he did his part very well in each of his dramas

His agency is not supportive though. But thankfully apart from good look, he is talented and has good acting skill. His next project is a daylight drama and he got it through audition again proves he rely on his acting skill more than agency and ig it is good for his future too.

For a drama competing with olympic, no publicity, leads are not selling cp like anything and no toxic and heavy marketing and viewers being divided among dual platform, this drama is actually doing much better than expected.

For encouragement, I would say it picks up from episode 4 and keep getting better and exciting and I'm liking it.
Those who are watching it most have positive view. But again it depends on personal taste in dramas. Not every drama is for every audience. You can give it a try till ep 6 and then decide

This drama has 36 episodes. If you want the team to reveal everything on first 3 episodes, what are they going to show for the next 33 episodes ??? Irrespective of any genre, any drama needs atleast 10 episodes to build the plot. Compare to that this drama is much faster.

The team is not doing justice with the trailer so don't go with it.
I was also a bit sceptical for first 2 episodes but by ep 5, I am totally hooked.

As always THE Zhang Linghe never disappoints. Love how he is so natural. Specially love how he interpret Ji Yang from Yin Ya pov.
Same actor... Same character but body language says all. And one thing I like him how his cute behavior doesn't look forced.
