sorry but SML lost that mature tag from the time when his life goal has become not to let gzy become sword wielder. Currently from where I am watching he is not there to protect the Gong Family, rn his priority is defeating his cousin and hold the power.
if he really want only to protect gong family he can do that without becoming sword wielder. And he should let GZY fight for himself and prove himself FAIRLY. But he and his spoiled brother busy plotting against GZY. I don't think this is kind of mature attitude. If he was mature, he would not plot against GZY. If his purpose is to protect the family he would wait for gzy to complete the task . If GZY passed it, he is qualified to protect family. why he is busy plotting against him then if his purpose his family and not power.

Same!! not all men needs to dark..... in this series almost all the characters are dark and somehow corrupted. Let baby gzy be the breathe of fresh air. He is unique and have many characterization than only cutting others words

Exactly from ep1 to ep8 I haven't seen any new side of the SML. throwing those dark look doesn't make your characterization stronger. ML doesn't need to be toxic to be called strong. we have seen many sides of him ...kindness, urge to protect his love, proving himself, solving the reason of his father & brother death, understanding the real meaning of being the sword wielder... in last episode he didn't think twice before leaving back hill which can result as failed the task. he choose family over power and was not it the main thing about sword wielder? He is having character development with every ep and I'm sure many more sides of him yet to be revealed.

no seriously this ppl are so irritating like so many actors name pop up here but noone showed such toxicity like this particular drama fd and truth to be told they may not agree but most of them asking VM or same actor in hope for getting glimpse of HL cp here. VM may did very well in HL but THIS IS NOT HIDDEN LOVE, THIS IS FIRST FORST AND HERE SANG YAN IS NOT A SUPPORTING CHARACTER.So whoever will be SY they need be able to pull the drama as a ML so team needs to be careful about the cast. I'm a ZLH fan & I would love to see him as SY but that doesn't mean others can't play it. Let's wait for official announcement, if ur fav make it then enjoy or else move on ...no need to come here and hate on others it's not their fault they are being wanted by many people.

Been quite for a long time cause the "musical chair" for this drama's casting already made me feel exhausted but all of you "Hidden Love" peeps forced me bring myself here again. 1. This drama's casting being in news MUCH before Hidden Love come out and trust me among so many rumor male leads Victor Ma was NEVER ONE OF THEM and that is because he has no similarity with novel Sang Yan 2. This is Sang Yan's story, the protagonist is Sang Yan and he is not a supporting character that people will compromise with the actor just because some other drama 3. Both Hidden Love and First Forst are from DIFFERENT production and directors are also different for both the series. so your logic of having same actor doesn't make any sense. 4.You guys out here disrespecting all the actors who were rumor to be Sang Yan Where the fact is that VICTOR MA will be the last one to be suitable for original sang yan and no offense to him. Not every role is made for every actor and "Difficult to Coax" Sang Yan is not for him. so I expect you guys to respect other actor before their fans start picking up why your fav never come into anyone's mind from last one year 5. This is for all the "boycott" buddies, please move on cause First Forst official account has made it clear that "Hidden Love's Sang Yan is not First Forst Sang Yan". So though we don't know who will be ultimate Sang Yan but it is definitely not the actor you guys are asking for. So as you guys already decided you will not watch it if isn't your fav and the production team has also decided that it is not your fav, ig it will be better to not waste your time here disrespecting other actors. why don't you all go and watch all the Spider man series with different actors playing the same character 🙂
