most of people here not complaining about screentime.... the main anger is on cutting out important scene which is giving wrong impression and also the stereotype thinking of soft/kind mean weak.
I personally feel there is no use of giving screentime to unnecessary scenes(include main leads scenes and others too) and cutting out the imp parts.

till now we haven't seen 2nd ML showing his martial arts power(its a wuxia drama) , not doing anything except suspecting things without strong evidence. the 3rd ML has shown his strength. let me know what is the strength of 2nd ML except accusing people here and there ?

don't pull that popular card and play victim , ysx might be famous but zlh is also a mare newcomer like other actors here .

2nd: if 2nd leads are liked by passerby why that is not reflecting in those character popularity? Last year ZLH was 3rd ML in LBFAD and even less popular than current actors ,no excessive promotion like them, haven't even bought these many hot search or haven't sell candy like anything still he & chang Heng manage to give tough fight to so many popular actors with a mare 5-2 mins (not like being there for half of the episode to make their presence visible) screentime. That is called liked by passerby!!!!

Some people here calling other idiots for reacting and asking to think about the drama doing well. The drama is doing well and a huge proportion of credit goes to chinese fans of both ysx and zlh. They worked like anything for bringing that 9000 heat index within 3 days for a airborne drama and then their fav got kicked out from the poster, their imp scenes got cut out specially Zhang Linghe's. Both of them never signed up for this.
There is a reason they are called main leads.

For all of your information it is Zhang Linghe, Yu Shuxin, Gong Ziyu and Yun Weishan who are leading all the major lists so when we see people here telling so and so actors carrying the drama by just watching douyin cuts scene its normal for fans to get angry because neither those actors nor their characters are in those valid list.

So stop being delution and respect the actor and character who are actually carrying a huge proportion of the show. Thanks to the main leads they get to take part in so many promotional activity and get viewers exposure. Where neither ZLH nor YSX till now part of any promotion (even the single livestream was initiated by actors)ohhh they were not even informed by the platform about the drama airing.

yesterday fight scene, zlh & ysx shot it in water for 7-8 hours under -8° C temperature and what we saw in episode just a few second in an one hour long episode. ZLH shot that first trial scene with an injured foot but all his highlight moments got cut in the finale to make other character more attracting and actors being director's agency's actor has nothing to do with it and fans definitely should not feel bad for the leads because as long as drama is doing good everything is fine.

Screentime was an issue from the starting but both the male leads fans kept quite for a long but today they dropped both of them from the poster, had building sweeping activity with support cast.
All of you here are drama fans right,let me know which drama has done this before?


Let me ask you all one simple question, if you work hard on a project and your team mate took away the promotion and discredit you from your hardwork just because they are boss's relative, how will you feel ? wouldn't you be angry/upset/hurt or will you celebrate that atleast you could have deliver the project to client.

Think wisely before calling main leads fans idiots for reacting on all the injustice their favs facing and asking them to be happy for the drama's success.

any other drama will also be successful with these two as lead as success will judged by those heat index which Shuxin and Zhang Linghe fans are bringing.

ysx friends/fans, zlh's fans doing offline promotion so that drama can be reached to larger number of audience and in return what both of them are getting ?? all those mistreatment

after all this some ungrateful fans of few actors dare to say their fav carrying the drama.
if your fav really carrying the drama then why can't we see their character and contribution in those relevant list???
the artist and characters are heavly promoted too unlike the main lead still failed ?????!!!!!!

They really should be thankful to ysx and zlh for not being attention hungry and making fuss about this.
their fans are also same. if you all "our fav carrying the drama" people pull this stunt infront of some other actors or their fans they would tear you all up.

So please try to return the kindness with kindness and be greatful.

Exactly that is how it should be!! if you are pointing out wrong for one character do the same for other. otherwise it is confusing to understand whether you are disliking the character for its characterization or is it just your biased judgement.

its depends on your own concept of strength. If you consider only saying big things and doing nothing is strong then male lead is not strong. you can opt for 2nd ML. Till now we have seen him only saying big things but when it comes to action, nothing!

Thank god it was not Gong ZiYu or else smart team will come and bite him for taking "reckless" action. As long as it is not GZY , everything is fine

Every story has pothole and here your point of not keeping the copy is another one among the many just like not investigating why there was no guard when GZY's father & brother died. The main point was to highlight one of GZY's character's highlight.

may be so that people can hate on the character for being "weak" and they can highlight the character they want to. There should be someone to fulfill the scapegoat's role and here it is Gong ZiYu and ZLH

This scene is where Elders' tattooed that Gong family's scriptures on Gong ZiYu's back.A very important part was deleted from this scene.

This scene could have highlighted why there is rule of immediate succession after current Sword Wielder's death.
The scriptures at the back would start fading away after the person's death hence they need to copy it immediately so that's how the rules came why the immediate hier who is present in the valley will be the next Sword Wielders.

While copying the scriptures at Gong ZiYu's back,it faded away before they finish it but Gong ZiYu is blessed with amazing memory where he can memorize anything that he has seen once.(One of the highlight of the male protagonist character but it got deleted 🙂)

As we have seen in the episode Gong ZiYu had seen those scriptures in his childhood and he with amazing memory still remember it and recited it to elders so that they can draw the same in his back.
So if it was not Gong ZiYu and someone else was at his place they couldn't even complete the successsion process because he is the one who has seen that scriptures and he is the ONLY one who remember it.
This added a point why he is very much eligible for that position.
Also there is another scene not included in the drama.
Do you know why Elder Yue gave Gong ZiYu those medical books, because Gong ZiYu has medical knowledge too.Also Gong ZiYu is among those FEW Gongs who cultivate Snowmelt Heart Sutra.

So Gong ZiYu has amazingly strong memorization power, he also has medical knowledge and someone who cultivate a rare technique. It seems our male protagonist is not as "useless" as few of you all think 😉
