The writers were very cruel to Min Jung. She's one of the best step-mom characters in k-drama and yet she never really had a happy ending with her husband.

This drama's ML and plot were great. It could have been an all-time classic and closer to 9.0 rating on MDL if the FL was someone different and the character was written better. The actress who FL has been good in other dramas but in this drama, she single-handedly drags down the whole series. Her mannerisms are very annoying. In addition, the writers didn't help her by making her character as pathetic and unlikeable as they can. This is one of the worst portrayal of "strong" single mothers characters in k-dramas.

It's realistic. A lot of people treat their crushes like that, although it's more common with women.

I agree with your analysis about Shin and Ju Yeon. But, the problem with the drama is that the ML has been shown very likeable here. He wasn't mean or bad with anyone. This storyline could have worked if the ML was also toxic like his brother and the FL.

Ideally, they should have started making the FL and SML more likeable by now. But, I guess this is their vision as per the poster: a messy relationship with 4 people that will be probably fixed in the last 2 episodes. Problem is that they are making it too hard to root for SML and FL. You only care for Goon.

She can't afford bad relations with Shin. She needs his support to deal with her patient.

The plot seems very familiar. A lot of the dramas in the last few years have the FL struggling with her career and then the ML rescuing her.
