Such a sweet ending, unlikely from Yuning ππ
you should watch prisoner of beauty. I used to avoid his dramas because he is already choosing tragic scripts. but POB and ADWAD are just perfect. I hope he keeps this trend up
OMG.. arrrrgghhhh... Lui Yu Ning is on FIRE π₯ . this was unique, perfect, excellent. infact I lack words. arggghhhh. he keeps getting cuter, and finer, and better. FL is a force, I absolutely loved her. everything about this drama was perfect. 9.5
Try to watch Blossom if you haven't. It has the same vibe as POB in my opinion βΊοΈ
what if I told you I have watched every on this list , hahahahahaha. I am an old timer. that's why I am in a slump. I feel like I have watched all the good stuff. I only watch anime for Japanese, and Thai is not my cup of tea, I tried it but it didn't digest well.
finally finished this gem and here is my verdict. this might just be the only Cdrama I have watched that didn't break my heart in one form or another. everyone that was supposed to survive survived, everyone that was supposed to die or serve one form of punishment got their comeuppance. it didn't leave a bittersweet taste in my mouth. this drama was layered, and to an extent unpredictable. most reborn dramas can be predicted, but not this one, because the first life changed the trajectory of their lives, but they had to plan and plot for the everyday details because it couldn't be predicted from a memory. our CPs relationship was so healthy and lovely. infact it is a complete drama. highly recommended
even though I like CP focused dramas, but 90% of this drama focused on the CP, which wouldn't have been a problem if they didn't start developing so many other subplots, only to allocate a few seconds per episode to them, and eventually let them fade in the background. I'm not gonna lie, the CPs romance, and comedic brotherhood between the generals are enough to keep you enagaged.
it won't live up to it's genre as a historical Cdrama without a sprinkle of heartbreaks and bloodshed here and there. what started out as a light hearted enemies to lovers trope, and basically a manual on how to win your husband's heart turned dark unexpectedly... sheesh.. I mean of every character to kill off they chose HIM?! I was almost throwing hands and stones, because what in the world was that? was it necessary? ha. anyway a good drama nonetheless. a solid 8.5 imo.
