i love the new wave of korean female directors aah makes me so happy
Yes though Korean Male Director's are already amazing, it's good getting new perspectives and overall a better Korean film industry. Which means better films and drama's for us!
Hi An's decision to like Eunbi instead made no sense. He loved Eunbyeol for almost half his life then switched, you got to wonder why he was throwing a fuzz if this is how it ends
idk with these comments, what's the problem with romance? acting like it is a genre any less than others, I'm sure there's a reason Seunggi choose this one.
" It basically sends up hidden messages where it undermines the people who fought for democracy and died in 1987"…
when writing about history, you have to be as sensitive as possible in everything. Actual events and people have contributed to the year 1987, so to say to them that oh it's only their biases is absurd and obviously coming from someone who doesn't know and couldn't care less about other people's history. It's historical fiction based on actual events and people, therefore it should enhance understanding, not distort it. Just having a North Korean is distortion enough, international fans have no right undermining the sentiments of victims, if they think it's distortion, so be it. The lack of respect and indifference to the wrong representations of their history, angers koreans. You we're never in the uprising or fight for democracy, so you have no say to what they feel. You can watch and enjoy the show without trying to actively defend the message it sends. Let's not be dense and abandon morals. I watched and loved the show but I don't believe in the message it is trying to send. That's all I'm trying to say, stop trying to twists my words I'm not campaigning you or anyone to stop watching it but pointing out that it isn't a perfect representation and deserves the controversy.
Love watching it and heavily against censorship but you got to admit that snowdrop is controversial. Yes it is fiction but based on actual events and people. Fiction is sometimes hidden truth or what the writer believe is true, just like how a joke is basically a hidden truth. It basically sends up hidden messages where it undermines the people who fought for democracy and died in 1987.
Per South Korea Nielsen Houshold ratings - Snowdrop is not popular in South Korea:https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Snowdrop/Episode_Ratings
