Tbh, I got a bit irritated at the Yumo and Yandan scenes coz omg, you guys are literally in the same vicinity…
Pei Luo is going to cause the downfall of everyone in the end. He is going to be the main villain no doubt. That guy is going to end up with Ying Deng and those 2 are going to get everyone killed... that stupid fairy should never have asked for the eye and that Yumo should never have given it to her. Damn stupid...
Check out Immortal Samsara. It's up to episode 20 and it's so good. To be honest, I actually like it more than Love Like Galaxy but I like both. So far, it's really good and highly recommended.
Just saw episode 20... argh so maddening. I cannot believe he gave up his powerful eye to that fairy. I can just see how it will turn back to haunt him. ARGH....
Finished episode 29 and 30 and really like the Consort Yue character. I find her the most interesting after the ML and FL.
The emperor character is okay but doesn't seem very interesting to me. I love the interactions at end of episode 30 during the banquet.
So far it's the females that dominate the show. The men in this show are more like dolts or controlled by their women. The female characters are definitely more interesting in this series. Not sure if on purpose or just based on story.
I am a bit wondering how it all comes to a close at the end though. Just too many shows that don't do a good satisfying ending or an anything that makes no sense. I hope this series is able to end intelligently.
I enjoy each new episode but not frustrated at waiting for next episode. I appreciate the writers giving closure at end of each episode and not leave viewers hanging and spiking anxiety. Nobody needs more unnecessary anxieties in this life, especially not from a TV show.
Finally episodes that are more interesting. Episodes 19, 20, 21, 22 were boring and didn't feel much progression. Glad last 2 episodes picked up more in moving story along.
My guess the 2 villains plotting inside that pagoda are related to Zishengs stepmother and the other guy is probably one of the princes.
I think CSS mom has been trying her best to save CSS in her harsh comments in front of emperor. It was tactic meant to save her from pain. They were both willing to sacrifice their lives to give CSS chance at happiness.
No she will not marry Lou Yao , their engagement will be broken.
What the heck. Why would he marry that crazy drama queen his ex. Good lord... That would be miserable if that is what happens. Please I pray if that happens it's not because he wants to sacrifice himself so SS can be happy.
I pray with you that this drama does not crash and burn towards the end like Luoyang or Sword Snow Stride. For…
Suffice it to say, it was so disappointing that I stopped watching costume dramas for a while after that because it was so damn disappointing.
Things like that prince surfing away from the ship on the back of that metal solder like a torpedo.
ML constantly talking about old Huang constantly every step he takes. Come on.. once is okay, twice is okay, 3 times is okay, but never ending pining for old Huang is too much.
The one-armed old man stepping up on a stair of swords like Mary Poppins to the sky is just so retarded. Then seeing the old guy surfing in the sky on a sword is laughable.
And then the fight between that master trapped in that young kid's body and the fight between the metal soldier and the kid.. he's suppose to be supreme martial artist. But the best thing he did was lie on the ground holding the leg of the metal soldier. good grief...
And the prince and his damn finger snapping. Somehow the metal soldier immediately knows what he wants just by sound of a finger snap. If he could read minds, why bother with the snap.
And that damn dramatic music with every scene. Just coming out of the bathroom must be shown with dramatic music and 30 seconds of slow motion. Every flatulence must be shown with a close up and 30 seconds of slow motion and dramatic music.
Just on and on... I rated it 10/10 the first half. Then it just spiraled down further and further. And the damn end of each episode was maddening. Like it was going to be some big dramatic event and next thing you know, after a week of waiting, it turned out to be nothing huge. Hated those ending cliff hangers. Thank god Love like Galaxy does not have that.
I do admit, the female side characters are the best I have seen in wuxia series. All of them are so interesting. And another favorite scene is when they visit the blind soldier. And his relationship with his sister is great. And I love the FML a lot. And I like him learning new skills along the way.
So far completed episode 14, my comment will be this cdrama at the moment is worth watching but one needs to have…
I pray with you that this drama does not crash and burn towards the end like Luoyang or Sword Snow Stride. For some reason, majority of chinese wuxia dramas never can land a decent ending compared to the chinese modern dramas. Maybe it's due to chinese censorship and politics since most of these wuxia dramas are very political and involves wars between states and corruption.
Kind of surprised that she would fall for that young Yao and start calling him pet name. But then again, he's not a bad looking guy and he did risked his life for her several times and he's the first to ask for marriage. But importantly, Yao knew the best places to buy the best snacks and that sealed the deal for SS. The other guys lost their chance unfortunately due to timing and SS never had parents to teach her about relationships or love, so it's understandable. Plus SS is simply not that interested in General Ling since he's a soldier like her mom and dad. With Yao, she has someone that loves her and will give her freedom. Maybe it'll end up to be a good marriage and in Season 2, their son will grow up and learn under General Ling and become a hero for the country. Plus why is it always the beautiful girl always gets the most heroic handsome man. It's time a simple looking man with a good heart gets the most beautiful woman through sheer luck and timing.
Hopefully General Ling will find a wife too somehow. I think that maid under SS's general mother would be a good fit for General Ling. Or SS's best friend that girl who's tough as nails. Both of them would make good partners for General Ling. Hopefully he does not die by himself in the snow frozen to death holding on to his sword like another unamed wuxia show. Man that would be depressing. I hope it's not another one of those shows where he pines for her secretly forever and ignores all the other women around him. It would be good to see him get married too and see him happy with his wife.
I really hope it does not all fall apart at the end like Sword Snow Stride. I am really really hoping it continues the quality to the end. SSS got really crappy at after middle where each episode ends in cliffhanger but the next episode never delivers on it and just repeats episode after episode.
Love like Galaxy doesn't do that to it's fans and I am grateful. No fake cliffhangers and gives some satisfaction to viewer at end of each episode.
I was so disappointed by SSS last episodes that I stopped watching wuxia for almost 6 months and watched modern dramas like River Flows Through It and others just to recover from that huge disappointment.
I feel sad that there are netizens bashing this drama and comparing it to A Dream of Splendor..I haven't seen…
I would say this show compares more with Sword Snow Stride. Almost like it's the same director or same writer. But this show is so much better than SSS. That show was killed by constant slow motion and a stupid 3rd act. It was SO SO good up to the end. Then it just got really stupid. But I loved all the characters they introduced in that show. Such unique characters.
This show is better than Dream of Splendor but I enjoyed Dream of Splendor. Finished it few days ago and overall, it was pretty good. Definitely worth watching. Main FL in ADOS was quite good. Ending was OK but wasnt great. But still, I thought it was pretty good show.
This show is a masterpiece so far... episode 12 and it's amazing. I have not been this excited since Sword Snow Stride. But that show was such a disappointment in the third act. That show was such a huge disappointment. Hated the constant slow motion and third act. This show is getting so good and no fillers or wasted screen time and moves quickly and such great character development.
I wish I could watch all the episodes. Finally a show worthy of Zhao Lusi. Whoever wrote this script and director is doing amazing job.
Love love Zhao Lu Shi and she's just so cute. And everytime she's on, she's just so quirky and funny. But cannot stand the stupid storyline. The way the ML just goes nuts over her and acts like a fool... I cannot take it. If I was 20 years younger, I think I might well like this type of silliness. But alas, not now not here. I stopped after 9 episodes.
Really slow episodes. Seem like fillers and nothing really interesting happens.
The emperor character is okay but doesn't seem very interesting to me. I love the interactions at end of episode 30 during the banquet.

I like Ever Night so much better.
