COMPLETELY AGREE with you. The last 8 episodes were so boring!

But overall, I think 8/10 just because I was laughing hard in many of the episodes. And there's no stupid characters for the most part. And dialogues were smart. Actors had great chemistry. Music was really good.

The best wuxia of all time is 天蠶變. My 2nd is probably this one.

I wonder why nobody remakes 天蠶變... Although once they changed actor, it was not good.

-No silly characters with squealing voices that are clown characters
-No silly characters. So many previous remakes have characters acting childish or they make them squeal in high pitch voice to be silly or funny and thank god nobody is a clown
-No silly characters with stupid dialogues . These are the closest I have seen with some seriousness
-I was seriously scared by the guy who played Rong dad
-I like the more serious tone of this show

BTW, maybe I should not have said "stupid" in my first comment. It's not stupid. It's still smarter than 90% of the dialogues in C-Dramas. But it's definitely boring as hell. Again, it's like watching C-SPAN for Season 2. If you like nothing but palace intrigue, then this is your cup of tea. I personally like vanilla latte with a bit more caffeine and a bit of sweet and bitter.

I liked Furiosa even more than Fury Road. That's how good I think it is. I really like the young Furiosa and her mom character. Just a few minutes and you grow to love the characters. And after watching Furiosa, you will want to rewatch the end of Fury Road. It hits 1000x more and understand her pain at the end. This is one of the best prequels I have ever seen. Just epic in every way. And if you like REVENGE done in a way where you feel complete satisfaction the villain got what they deserved... I am talking about REVENGE that has no boundaries and no limits because you have been FBR (f**ked beyond repair).

I liked it way more than Dune 1 and Dune 2.

BTW, highly recommend Furiosa. Wow.. what an epic movie. Best movie of the year for me. Saw it today. Definitely watch it in theaters.

Season 1 is like Star Wars, you got politics, adventure, powers. Season 2 is like C-SPAN. Talking heads that go talking for hours. It's The Joy of Talking.

I think I have a good analogy. Season 1 is like Star Wars where there is politics and it's mixed with space adventure and powers. And Season 2 is like watching C-SPAN. 40 hours of C-SPAN.

Dont bother with Season 2. It is nothing like Season 1. You should just watch Season 1 and skip Season 2 entirely. It's a completely different show and will disappoint you.

Just read the reviews after my comment. Seems most people are saying the same thing. What a disappointment for so many of us who waited for this for years. They should rename it The Joy of Talking. Guess should have known by the poster. The Season 1 poster was epic and about adventures.

Season 2 poster is a generic closeup of his face and the emperor. Completely generic.

Yes I am dropping it. I already scanned episodes up to 20 and every scene is just people talking and whispering and gossiping.

What the hell am I watching? This is nothing like the first season. Where are the martial arts? And his protector? I feel like this is a completely different show that's stripped down to just palace intrigue only. It's so boring so far. On episode 7. No martial arts or skills. Just a lot of talking and talking and more talking and then more talking and even more talking and finally more talking and lastly more talking and finally at the end, more talking and afterwards even more talking and afterward the final word, more talking and then even more talking.

What a big waste of time and it's like watching 7 episodes of nothing but fillers. This show went from great in Season 1 to stupid and boring in Season 2. Don't waste your time. I am skipping ahead to episodes 12, 13, 14, 15 and guess what! It's more talking! Nothing but talking.

The first few episodes are really hard to power through. It gets better.

Finished it last night. It was a good ending. I rate this show 8.8 out of 10. First few episodes were not great but it gets lot better. I think reason is that neither of the characters were likable in beginning.

I like the English dubbing more than original so I waited to finish last 2 episodes when it became available Friday. If it didn't have English dubbing, I would not have watched.

Like some people mentioned, it portrays the main lead in a way that is ultra fantasy-like but I was okay with it because it was at least not stupid. I just cannot stand endless stupidity in shows and this show was not that.

Ending had good closure compared to many other shows. I didn't scream or needed more.

Main female lead is why I watched it. She's just stunning beauty and her character is flawed but undergoes transformation. ML was good too. Both characters had intelligence.

But characters are somewhat one dimensional as others have said. I was okay with it because FL was so gorgeous and she became better with each episode. Storyline also a bit obvious but I really like there consequences to actions and intelligence to the writing.

It didn't have too many fillers overall. Just about the right amount of episodes. Happy it didn't go beyond this number.

Favorite scene is probably restaurant when she overhears him. And her finding her player.

Frustrating stuff are the obvious stuff. Orpan = bad. Stepmom= bad. So much grabbing of arms... It's not much layered complexity but I am okay with that. It's a love story and worked for me.

Good closure at the end.

I didn't like it until episode 5 or 6. Then it got really good. I think the English dub is much better than original Korean as someone who does not speak Korean.

The dubbing on this is really good.

Excellent so far and on last 2 episodes. This show makes you reminisce about past a lot.

Actress was good. Mesmerized by her.

Definitely solid 8.8 out of 10.

When I was in living in San Francisco as a recent grad around year 2000, I met this Korean girl and her friend at a dance. I went out with her for a date and she told me she lived in a big closet with roommates in an apartment building. She was cute. Never got beyond a few dates. But sometimes I think about her after all these years when I watch these Korean shows.

I worry that no doctors in Germany or America will take on beautiful Koreans as patients after seeing this show and how much drama the patients are. Every appointment to save their life is missed and constant waffling about wanting to live and dying one day to the next.
