On episode 36. This series is very good. I like it more than Love Like Galaxy. It has really good dialogues and characters.
And most important, it is not stupid. They don't have stupid characters nor does it go into juvenile humor or juvenile puppy love.
It is probably one of the best C-Dramas this year for me.
After so many stupid fairy and wuxia from China recently, I stopped watching until this one. Because most of them have brain dead characters that do the stupidest things or everyone acts like a child and think like 8 year olds. This one has intelligent females and smart male and female leads.
Got me emotional many times.
First 16 episodes are the best. Episodes 17-36 are unfortunately filled with so many fillers. It's about 15% more fillers after episode 16.
I cannot believe we have to wait a year for series 2. And if they do what the Korean dramas do and end in cliff hanger, I think I will just quit the series. I hate Korean dramas that always can't leave people with some ending at end of a season.
There are a few things that irked me. When white hair dude is playing another persona and suddenly female lead cannot detect the heart bug? Makes no sense.
The age thing makes no sense. They train soldiers for 30 years secretly in a mountain and nobody knows? WTH.....
And just saw the maid getting killed while trying to tell Jing the secret of child. Argh... So stupid of her to be so obvious
I started this after My Mister because someone mentioned this was similar.

This is too slow and nothing happens. Plus part of it is too unbelievable.
It's kind of depressing.
And alcohol every 10 minutes. Shows with constant alcohol like this will get people to start drinking. I kept thinking about drinking when watching this show.
Soju every freaking 10 minutes. Everyone drinks. Constantly. Nonstop.
And it worships alcoholism.
Really bad message and not recommended for anyone young to watch this show.
Do soju and alcohol companies sponsor kdramas? There is constant soju drinking every 10 mins. It's nonstop. It makes me want to drink watching these shows.

Thanks for answers. Seems like Rong Hao is an idiot. The guy schemed for over 30,000 years and outwitted everyone but after he got what he wanted, he lost her again in few days. Seriously?!? I dont think she even had a chance to eat a nice dinner after 30,000 years before she died. And Rong Hao never once thought of what he would do after she came back. At least that's what it looks like. I thought he was going to be the main villain early on. But then the cloud showed up and maybe cloud would be main villain. And then I thought the head of heavens would be revealed as the cloud. But turned out the cloud was really just an evil cloud.

2. What the heck happened to DQC at the end? He died in episode 36 and then came back in episode 37? Did he come back through that piece of jade? Did he really come back?
3. Did those 100,000 soldiers ever resurrect and join their families again?
4. What was the point of Rong Hao confronting the evil spirit and saying he will join his master? Was he sacrificing himself for nothing just to die? Or did he have a plan to fight that evil spirit? I just saw him disintegrate after a long speech in 2 seconds.
5. Did Rong Hao's master only live for a few days and she died again after 30,000 years already dead?
6. So the head of Heaven turned out to be a okay dude? I kept thinking the show was going to make him out to be some evil guy based on his sneaky evil face. But he turned out to be just a regular decent heavenly king?
7. So Orchid resurrected again but forgot all her former memories? In the end, how did she gain them back? What happened to that marriage between her and God of War? Did they marry?
It's so confusing because the scenes move from dreams to reality and present day to past and there's nothing to let people know which is which. Editing is so bad the last 10 episodes. I think the show was really good from episode 1 - 15 maybe.

The Rational Life is great series. Has Dylan. I didn't like him in Ever Night 2 but he is really good in Rational Life and LBDAF.
Plus it's already finished and you don't have to wait.
I am not watching anymore ongoing series if I can help it. Just too much waiting. Worst are the ones that have 1 week wait like Alchemy of Souls. People are dying in that group because season 1 ending left nothing resolved and left people all hanging.

Btw if people like magic users, Ever Night is truly honestly 20x better show. So much more expansive world and better music and mature plot and pacing. One of the best shows ever and on YouTube. Use ad blocker browser extension to skip all ads.

Skip Ever Night Season 2... It's not as good.
