I am struggling to finish this drama and I am on EP13... I love the ML and FL, but it felt like FL got kinda nerfed in attitude halfway through and the brother character really pissed me off and he is almost the entire reason I wanna drop this drama and I disliked him since the beginning. Most of the drama happens in small town, which is kinda meh. Most characters are whatever, but besides main leads, I did like the doctor and the editor.

I got more and more disinterested in this drama when in EP10 the ML's brother throws a temper tantrum, over literally nothing and now when its past all that, I still just cant force myself to finish 3 episodes...

Maybe it gets better later on as the other comments state, but I could not get into it, it was boring. I dropped after 3 episodes. It also features one of my least favorite things, - annoying village folk.

Its a comforting kdrama, very good looking too.
Also, same screenwriter as Our Beloved Summer, so you get that similar vibe here too.
Nothing wrong with the story, except for only how leads first broke up, that was very stupid.
And I wish there were at least 12 episodes, I wouldve loved to see how Mubee makes her film.
But overall, good drama.

Understandable to be honest. I took a break from the drama, because of how dumb those episodes were.

Honestly pretty good KDRAMA in my opinion.Gotta say the Jung Eun Ji is such a cutie, she has a very nice smile,…
I was hoping that FL will get to her normal self faster and that we get more slice of life romance scenes with the main couple, but in this KDRAMA they took the "FL cant revert" type of route, which is alright, but underwhelming.

What annoyed me the most was the fact that FL chose to stay silent about her transaformation to her parents and ML, for the majority of the KDRAMA, I instantly knew in the beggining that this will bite her later on and to no one's surprise, it did.

Another annoying thing was how the whole murderer reveal happened, like, if a killer is calling you, telling you not to tell anyone or your loved one dies, you already know that its a trap, that either both of you die, or sadly one of you or maybe you get help from someone and something will happen. Its such an old cliche for FL to have taken everything into her own hands, considering she was dealing with a person who killed multiple people over the past 20 years. I just with it was all better executed, instead of being generic.

And maybe I missed a hint, but I was hoping for a better explanation or at least some explanation as to how she got the transformation. I dont expect a logical reason, but I expected something. I guess the cat did it? But then why did he kept FL transformed after the murderer was caught, after the parents accepted Lim Sun's death.

Honestly pretty good KDRAMA in my opinion.
Gotta say the Jung Eun Ji is such a cutie, she has a very nice smile, wasnt annoying as FL and I genuinely enjoyed her performance and hope to see her more(after Mr Chu scene, it was fun to find out that she was a main vocalist for kpop group "Apink" who perform the song Mr Chu). Though I wish there were more romance fluff with the main couple.

I also enjoyed the fact that the parents werent godawful either, they are pretty chill. I recently started hating most KDRAMA parents, because they are genuinely a pain for me to watch and I dont like too much of "disfunctional parents" jokes, but here they are not a major pain. The father was pretty cool, I liked the chemistry between him and FL.

I wish the last 3 episodes were better though. There was nothing significantly bad, but not amazing either, just maybe generic.

Honestly the whole initial bait of "exboyfriend being a cheater", then revealing you, that he wasnt, was kinda stupid. These types of baits were stupid overall, cuz its made to trict the viewer, when all the characters know the truth. The characters know he didnt cheat, yet you are made to think he mightve did, until they reveal he didnt. Same with MLs parents story, trying to bait you into thinking they are some sort of messed up dysfunctional family, when in reality they just misunderstood each other multiple times.

I didnt dislike FL, I liked her, but it was her arguements during and after exboyfriend arc, that made her sour for me. It was understandable, why FL was hesitant to accept ML confessions, considering her past, but what did rub me the wrong way was the airport scene, when she sort of accept MLs feelings, ML still let FL see off her ex and cry over him, like, come on, wtf is even that... The FLs mother glazing her ex and meddling to set them up together was annoying AF and at times like these you wish FL kinda fought back.

"Parents disapproval" arc was eye-rolling, although I should really say "FLs mother's disapproval", her reasoning was understandable, but also annoying, cuz the real question was "how tf no one shipped the leads together when they were growing up" and I'm pretty sure it was never answered properly aside "they grew up like siblings".

Really, the only flaw for me was the "exboyfriend arc". He wasnt an asshole, but how his arc was executed was pretty annoying.
On Love Next Door Mar 10, 2025
I enjoyed it overall, but it wasnt without its flaws.

At first I was confused why some people thought it was a bad KDrama, it did have the typical "annoying mother, who has a dumb way to releave stress" at the begining and I did question after each episode "how arent the leads together yet", but it was enjoyable and fun drama anyway. Then my rating did go down, around halfway through the drama, when FL exboyfriend shows up and then the drama starts jebaiting you multiple times with multiple plots, but after first time I got jebaited, I could sort of predict the other jebaits aka "plotwists". Aside the jebaiting, another big issue for me was how FL acted at some points after exboyfriend arc and how ML was always the most patient guy, like, I really liked the FL, but her behaviour at some points were just dumb, then the long awaited "parents disapproval" arc came, it was a bit annoying, but not as annoying as exboyfriend arc, which I wish was either executed better or cut off entirely, it wasnt THAT bad, but it did make the show sour at that point, after which the drama became better again.

I couldnt stay mad at the characters though, as most of the reasons for their actions were realistic, maybe it wouldve been better it the drama didnt try to bait you into thinking something else at times, but honestly if the things I mentioned before dont bother you, I think it should be an enjoyable friends to lovers drama.
On What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Feb 1, 2025
This drama made me appreciate "Business Proposal"(my fav office drama, at least for now) much more.
There's nothing wrong or terrible about this drama, but nothing outstanding either. The main "plot" mystery or whatever(more like a side-plot) was underwhelming for me, poorly done and a little bit dumb.
The character interactions were nice, although underwhelming, there's quite a bit of cringe in there. "ML being humorously narcissistic" joke, sometimes overstayed its welcome...
But at least ML's parent werent too cliche or cockblocks, thats a big plus.
And Kim Ji Ah is a hella cute character. I liked her a lot and wanted to see more of her.
But again, the drama isnt terrible, but it isnt great. Its simply good or okay, I'd say.

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
The comments here were right... What the F*** WAS THAT ENDING???The OST is very good, the actors were nice, I…
What I found cringe and problematic was how careless FL was with self-snitching about time travel and in episode 10, that exact thing becomes a major point that progresses the plot. To be fair, yes, they wouldnt have known its their close friend, but it was kind of a bruh moment.
Last 2 episodes, like wtf, sure it wasnt generic, but I rather have predictable last 2 episodes than this... Out of nowhere, Min Ju takes back her body, when Oh Chan Hui wasnt able to stop his body from doing messed up things and showing a child how to murder, Yeon Jun never took back his own body either. I feel like we didnt need to be shown that either, a couple of minutes of convo, having Jun Hee encourage Min Ju at the end and Min Ju learning from Jun Hee wouldve been better.
Min Ju being such a bitch, also really brought down the drama for me and I thought a time traveling killer who was aware of time travel, was already a big problem, why introduce another burden like this. I really loved Jun Hee's character more too, so not showing her much during the last 2 episodes, really brought down the drama for me...
I did like the romance between the leads, I wish the ending was more happy one with them, instead of open ending with such short closure.

The comments here were right... What the F*** WAS THAT ENDING???

The OST is very good, the actors were nice, I liked the time travel twist and the main leads and the look, aesthetics and cinematography of the drama. It was an easy 9 at the very least. The drama was very good for me, like 9.5 or 9 or even a 10 out of 10, UNTIL episode 9, even episode 10 was decent, although not without some issues. But last 2 episodes were like... wtf. Those 2 were very obviously rushed, they definitely needed 16 instead of 12 episodes, especially, since they took their sweet time to explain major plotwist, for more than 2 episodes of run time and ironically, they seem to have ran out of time when they got to episode 11 and 12. Some ideas and scenes were good, but not fully realized.
Honestly, its such a shame, I still cant believe what the hell were they thinking...

I mean bro survived cos of luck not like he had much grit or intelligence in the first season either. Honestly…
Its a bit frustrating... The only game I'll give him credit for in season 1, was the sugar cookie carving game. But yea, I dont get what exactly are they trying to show with him, cuz so far, he looks like someone pretending to be righteous and he isnt, especially when situation calls for it... He didnt seem to care about other people sacrificing themselves THAT much, until after the last game of season 1.
What he's trying to do in season 2, makes no sense... Honestly wish that Jun Ho was shown more often, but they didnt do much with him.

Title Squid Game Season 2 Spoiler
Some comment I saw said it best "Gi Hun's vengefulness wasnt earned". Honestly, I enjoyed this season overall,…
I liked how The Front Man was trolling Gi Hun, although I found it kinda face palming when Jun Ho, lied about not knowing him, it was the typical "holding crucial information for plot" cliche. I was looking forward to seeing more guard plot and Jun Ho, but sadly, we werent given much.
I also found it stupid that Gi Hun wanted to beat human greed without a single good plan in mind. He knows he cant save everyone and people would just go back to finish the games, there's really no point to what he's doing and he allowed some people to die, so he's not really a moral authority either. Call me morally grey, but it really pissed me off how everyone literally telling him to get over it, how obviously a lot of people put and sacrificed themselves willingly for the chance to get all that money, yet Gi Hun being ignorant and the way he is, looked pretty rude to me and naive.
What I also found dumb was that the voting was almost always "coincidentally" 50/50. Yea sure, its not unbelievable, as most of the people there are in massive debt and probably gamblers with "cash out after one more" mentality, but come on, if I have a 200mil debt, but Squid game pays me 150mil, I'd pay the most important debts and then go live life and pay back the rest normally.

Honestly, I enjoyed this season overall, but the main character being so dumb, brought it down quite a bit and I already didnt like how he felt about the money during the first season. He's basically useless, stupid and how he didnt realize after first games, that what he's doing is pointless, is beyond me. Another weird thing was maybe the voting.

Title Backstreet Rookie Spoiler
Whether you'll like this, really depends on the person, judging by other comments. I loved it at the start, but…
ML's GF is fairly understandable, until the half of the drama, where she cheats on ML and doesnt even let him go. Regrets cheating, goes to talk to him, sees FL in his house and walks out while saying "im tired of your excuses", UH HELLO, YOU CHEATED ON HIM?! That was so dumb. All that, considering the fact that literally nothing happened between ML and FL... She cheated on ML, which the she knows he's "goody two-shoes" who wouldnt just lie, all because of few misunderstanding.
At some point, ML really the biggest victim. His girlfriend doesnt trust him over couple misunderstanding, cheats on him and tells FL to get off ML. FL doesnt get to see him much because of that and gets her own simp, who really exists to show us that he doesnt have a single chance with FL. Everyone is out to get ML and he didnt even do anything wrong.
Another thing I really disliked were the parents, like, wow, the parents cant take a single f*cking hint that FL likes ML. And even worse, they never listen to ML whatsoever, literally deaf and he never tries to explain himself either. They get humiliated by ML's exgirlfriends richer family and all, get really emotionally hurt, find out their son broke up, yet the mother still tries to set them up, because "rich family has money". He doesnt talk back until episode 15, where he says "stop talking about her, we broke up, if you like her so much, go live with her yourself", which was quite light, considering the mother was literally glorifying the ex, right before FL, but the mother acted like he deeply insulted her, even FL thought that too for some reason, which makes no sense, you'd think he'd eventually tell his mother "I like someone else" but no.
Speaking of which, there are couple of instances where exgf or someone else says something and FL takes it to heart... Like bro, why would you listen to his ex of all people, whatsoever.
And the main couple doesnt even kiss at the end, they literally become a couple during the last few minutes of the drama. Literally nothing, the last episode felt so rushed, they couldve easily cut the filler and fleshed out last few episodes and focused on the main couple.
On Backstreet Rookie Dec 28, 2024
Whether you'll like this, really depends on the person, judging by other comments. I loved it at the start, but at the end I totally understood why it doesnt have a higher rating, even wanted to drop it with how much I hated episode 15. First episode was so promising, showing us a kiss scene, but ironically, thats the farthest the main couple has ever gotten.

The random fighting effects are making the drama age poorly. The drama can be a bit cringe at times with its comedy and literal shit/fart jokes, or even worse, there a reaccuring bit where everyone steals each others money and stuff and it isnt exactly funny, especially when its being done so many times and its kinda weird to take it seriously when there's a serious moments showing actual harm from stealing. The overwhelming amount of stealing jokes, kinda kills any good faith and nice moments with charaters who steal, like the father. The comedy in this drama wasnt the reason I kept watching, thats for sure. There's a bit of annoying "misunderstandings" and "no one tells anyone anything until too late" cliches too. And also there's the terrible parents who are dumb or never listen, but get 2 or 3 "good moments" to remind you, the viewer, that they arent "that bad".

While ML was fine, he wasnt as engaging as I'd hoped he would be, doesnt really stand up for FL that much, never does something majorly impressive... what REALLY kept me watching was the FL Saet Byul. She was so charming, cute, energetic and overall nice, so much so I hope I find more FLs like her, its honestly such a shame that the drama turned out to be the way it is, because I feel like her character was wasted. There's lots of tiny cute moments between "the couple", but barely any serious romance. Honestly, the last few episodes alone, made the show go downhill for me...
On Welcome to Samdal-ri Nov 30, 2024
Really considering dropping this one, but I'm only at episode 4, so not sure, if it will get better. I can kinda already tell what the plot is gonna be. We have a 2nd ML who obviously has no chance. The major plotpoint of the scandal and how it progressed so fast and how FL didnt even wanna clear it up, made no sense, considering it also affected her sisters too. The boomer characters really annoy me as well, a bit less than in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, but annoyed me nonetheless. Its like these dramas trying to convince me that koreans are just gossiping POS.

Title True Beauty
Quite a few cliches, like dumb misunderstandings. The love triangle result was already obvious from the beginning. And FL was far too careless with her secret. Even how her secret will get revealed to everyone was obvious from first few episodes.
That being, the drama does have some funny and some memorable moments. The OST is good. A lot of characters were nice, the only one I really hated was the FLs mom, because of how ignorant and aggressive she was.
On Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Sep 14, 2024
I really liked this drama, it was really relaxing. Also nice OST and I really liked FL and ML.
The only thing that sour this for me a bit was the boomers. I was more interested in main leads, rather than the villagers. It was really annoying at times, I wish I've gotten to see more FL and ML instead.
The first episodes were harder for me, due to how stupid the villagers were. Understandable that someone from the city needs to adjust to the small town and FL was a bit spoilt, but like, actively trying to sabotage FL's business, just because you dont like her and because she hurt your feelings a bit? Now thats stupid. Especially when they knew she's actually a good and fair dentist, but refused to use her services and went to the place thats far away or sketchy...
