The drama in itself is monotonous without much interesting stuff happening however what makes me keep watching it is the gorgeous visuals of the 3 couples and the way the 3 girls are so straightforward with their flirting game towards the guys like they all don't hold back to make their moves. Personally, it makes a great viewing for me even without substantial plot.

Weekend ratings are different from Weekly dramas. Sundays normally have a dip due to people enjoying their time outside. So you can’t see it with same lens as weekly dramas. This was stated in one of the korean article explaining the rating system. I will share the link again if I see it.

Unfortunately there are factual fallacies here. You can easily use a VPN and that will still reflect on the numbers for Korea. I personally know plenty of my friends who do that. So that assumption of yours reg Netflix Korea reflecting actual Koreans interest in drama is incorrect.
Rowoon is indeed popular in Korea but not as much as an actor.

Besides these, I never refuted the fact about INTL bringing in viewrship or money. I only pointed it out to highlight why those numbers doesn’t necessarily mean the drama is good or the acting is great. Rowoon is extremely popular overseas than in Korea. So people will tune into his drama irrespective of it being good or not and naturally it will have good numbers on OTT platforms. I am trying to suggest the INTL viewrship for idol actors has no relevance wrt the comments about their acting or the plot esp. when it’s popular idols starring in it like Cha eun woo for example

There are so many dramas that are internationally loved and flopped in Korea and vice versa. So ratings don’t mean much when you wanna discuss about people commenting on the acting aspects or poor writing.

He is definitely decent for an idol actor. There’s no doubt about that. However like i said, he has very limited range. So if he chooses a character like the one in this drama, he is not able to pull it off convincingly. That is why I said he has to go oldschool or if he continues to experiment, there will be bad comments obviously but that might give him the scope to improve.

It fluctuates but doesn’t drop about 1% like that. It’s kind of a sign they aren’t digging it. I don’t see it increasing much from here with the plot and acting we have seen so far. But fingers crossed if they get better from here. Nevertheless they will still get the INTL viewership anyway. Rowoon is very popular overseas

Well, On a lighter note, If Knetz truly appreciated this drama like you say, the nielsen ratings wouldn't have seen a nearly 1% drop for the second episode. So are you sure, those are Knetz or just the INTL fans again in masquerade? ;)

Rowoon has been straight up bad in his last two dramas. I don't think denial will help here & also I don't think it's hate. He was well appreciated for King's affection and tomorrow not very long ago. It's just that the roles he has picked up off late isn't doing justice to his limited acting range. So he just has to go back oldschool or continue to experiment till his acting gets better to confidently take up varied roles.

You brought all the INTL numbers which are mostly due to the popularity of ML but the ratings dropped huge in Korea after 2nd episode. 4.6 to 3.5 & that is a pretty huge drop of almost 1% which means they are not digging it. It's only gonna get lower I am afraid if the acting is same as we have seen so far. It's good for you that if it's your cup of tea though :)

This is very good especially jung yoo min is stellar in portraying various emotions like the pitiful adopted daughter, the scary one who is out for revenge and comedic romance with ML. I am so down for her fabulous acting in just 3 episodes. I really hope the ratings improve in korea for this. They had a good jump for second episode. Hope it crosses 2% after today. Yoo min deserves it.

See the previews. It was the other twin who proposed to the ML apparently. Not the one who passed away.

Jung yoo min stole the show in the first 2 episodes. My word, what a stellar actress. Where was she hiding all this time? Always feel very sad seeing such talented actresses go under the radar for so long whilst so many kpop idols that cannot act for life have gigs lined up in this biz (well that's how this industry works but it just makes me sad) :/

That’s why I said it was theorized. Meaning open to intepretation. If you thought it was evident for you and dropped, that’s how you interpreted. Doesn’t necessarily mean it was ‘evident’ for everyone? does it? If it was, there wouldn’t be a huge thread speculating the endgame theory that went on till the end of the show from the start on the show’s MDL page. The thread must still be there in the discussion forum. So clearly not ‘evident’ for most who saw the show :)

No , It was only theorized just like they are doing for this show here. There were other counter theories about how it could still be a HE for all these SE theories as well as each episode aired. That was the beauty of the show and why i said, it kept you guessing. I presume you feel this way because the show has ended and you already know the result :)

I followed 2521 every week and actively interacted with people in comment section till the end. I can vouch that people didn't find it 'evident' atleast till it was nearly 12 episodes!

I beg to differ. 2521 kept us guessing till the end because they never showed the dad in present time. I wouldn't say it was 'evident' it won't be a HE atleast until 12th episode. That's when you could start sensing this maynot go well as you would like.
