I want to say the below because I am super annoyed by some of these inane comments here.
I feel like idol actor fans need to chill for real sometimes. Boy, they question everyone and everything if their favorite's drama drops in rating here. I mean destined with you, tomorrow, king's affection have all had good ratings in MDL for the same actor but suddenly they think people in MDL are insipid coz the vast majority in MDL didn't like this show?
Fair enough, you like the actor, want to support his work or even like the show but it's bizarre you want the rest of the world to align with your interest, or is it the coping mechanism to make yourself feel better that you are doing something to defend/protect your idol's work?
I wish some of yall come out of this imaginary bubble you create for yourself as if the entire world is conspiring against your fav in MDL. It really is not. Maybe a fraction do that but come on, you gotta be really thick to think there is a conspiracy wave going on to bring down a show. It's mostly just a matter of majority liking/disliking a show. Period.
My intention was not to create a fanwar now coz I won't be bothering to reply anyway. I just wanted to let this be heard because I was so tired of some of these comments continuously trying to put down the nous quotient of MDL users. Cheers.
Oh well, it is easy to see past the 7.8 on MDL. The Nielsen rating for episode 15 was 5.4 percent. It has been…
I wonder why are you trying way too hard to push a narrative that this was a very good show (when it wasn't) and as if MDL users lack taste. Lol. The actors are very popular in korea and that's the reason for even this average nielsen rating. As for viki, bride of water god having 9.2 pretty much tells you the credibility of that. And ofcourse it's not a surprise even if netflix picks it up coz rowoon's popularity overseas is more than enough even if the show is substandard.
I have no issues if you liked the show but stop pushing a narrative as if MDL users have an agenda or something against the show when there is none. Just coz a fandom wants to support their fav actor, doesn't mean everyone should like it :)
It would have been a very good ending had they ended this without the airport scene with them just breaking up again to reiterate how FL and ML just don’t fit together coz of FL’s confused, indecisive character trait which simply doesn’t fit with ML’s overbearing love. I would have loved it had they went separate ways coz not all dramas need a forced happy ending.
Just look at her filmography man. Just one drama that's below 8 in MDL and it was when she literally started her career. Everything else including the guest appearances are above 8. That's just crazy af. I don't know if it's just her or her agency but what a damn good job in choosing the scripts which helped her grow as an actor gradually instead of hastily committing to some mediocre scripts. You gotta love an actor who is taking up challenging diverse roles instead of sticking to a template.
how in the world is it possible to survive getting pierced by several spears?? Ning is strong but not immortal.…
you never see their dead bodies. That's how. Clearly the writer wanted us to infer this or else they would have shown it. Also the kids name being ning shisan and ren lu is a dead give away that they are alive.
On second thoughts , the happy ending for the leads was very well done if you think about it. You can see how Chu yue's face brightens up as soon as she realizes the boy was named after shisan and immediately probes if his mother was Ren. Indirectly this refers to how both the leads moved away from all the chaos to a peaceful life for 10 years until now allowing everyone to believe that they were dead. They just didn't want to be discovered and led a happy life in isolation. Hence I think it was brilliant to not show the leads and let us audience infer it via Chu yue who is on her way to meet them. Screenwriter did very well imo . We just need some time to let the thoughts sink in. 10/10
So it's an inferred happy ending for the main leads. Looks like they have named their kids after Yu shisan (ning shisan) and Yuan lu (Ren lu). Though they should have showed the leads to make it much more clearer tbh.
he said back then he doesn't make deal with childrenso I'm pretty sure he kept her by her side because she was…
Yep, like i said, that's why it's intriguing for me. To know how she convinced him back then. If her arc falls out flat or ends up being a good one, only time can tell. Until then, I am not hastily branding her character as pointless.

Obviously he didn't make a deal with her when she was still a kid. She probably found him again when she was an adult coz she vowed to find him at any cost back then. We still don't know that story of them meeting again and how it happened. Pretty sure they will show that in next episodes. Which is why she is intriguing for me.
Yeah, she's the first fault I found in this series. Until now this has been perfect for me.
You want just the leads being lovey dovey with each other without annoying/evil characters in a series with fantasy, murder etc? You have clearly picked a wrong show to expect that 😂
Unlike many here, I am actually intrigued by Jin gayoung’s story. Yes, she is obsessed with ML but that’s coz he was like literally a savior to her when he saved her as a kid. I am curious to know how she convinced him to stay by his side. Knowing guwon, he would have made a deal with her to allow her to stay by his side. Remember his humane side started showing up only after meeting dohee, so no way he allowed her to stay with him without asking her to sell her soul. I am curious to know what was the deal if any or if it was something else. There’s surely more to her character arc than just the usual clingy 2nd FL I feel. Also the actress is doing a great job as well.
My theory is that FL had to be the original demon and something happened between them in the past (forbidden romance maybe?) and as a result powers shifted to ML and he became the demon. Now the powers are supposed to be back to the original owner when they met again in this lifetime maybe. That’s why he is slowly becoming more of a human whereas Dohee is becoming a demon. Just that she hasn’t realized that she can use the powers yet. Probably will find out when she is in danger again and the powers save her without guwon’s help
Yeah, she's the first fault I found in this series. Until now this has been perfect for me.
Not really a fault at all. she is staying true to her character. Guwon saved her as a kid and she vowed to stick with him by all means since then. Also they still haven’t told us how she made her way back to be by guwon’s side since he rejected to take her when he saved her. probably she made a deal with guwon too. As much as she is obsessed with guwon, she told him facts straight to his face and was trying to protect him. So no, her character isn’t a fault and there is more to it clearly
