It's always the ML who has to be the boss, isn't it? As if we don't have gazillion shows already where the ML is the boss of FL. Sigh. I wonder why can't they give us more shows reversing the roles where FL is the boss and ML is the subordinate. This is where shows like 'Rational life', 'Begin again' really felt like a breath of fresh air.

How can someone write a story that can be so uninteresting for 18 episodes straight? Lol

Probably true but that is why I restrained my view to only costume dramas where the feminine aesthetic for a ML becomes a bit jarring to viewing pleasure.

Just for my pov context: I feel like Park Solomon who is also in his 20s would have looked much better here. tall, mature manly face, well built etc. Blends well for a costume drama. Obviously not comparing the actors here but purely on viewing aesthetics for a costume show

Oh god, don't even start. I saw first episode and dropped after 10 minutes. That god awful hairstyle. I really thought it was a girl.

very good actor indeed, Nqat. For me, it was more the unappealing factor for a period ML that puts me off right away.

I also try to but sometimes it's too difficult to keep it within yourselves. So I just let it out. That's why I specifically use words like 'personally' etc to minimize the damage but as you can see above there was already a condescending reply. Lol, you can never win xD

Yup, I know. Have had many characters that grew on me over the time a show progressed. However, it was just an observation coz I already had the experience of watching the same guy in another sageuk style flower crew. So, it wasn't just based on this one episode. Like i said, people can have their personal liking.

Spineless main leads are an instant put off for any show imo. I mean you will let them act spineless for several episodes with their exes whilst being in a relationship and suddenly they will draw the boundary with their exes and tada, you have your happy ending with your main leads in the end after few convos. Lol, it's just lazy writing. Try to be creative for a change. It's not the only way to create angst for viewers. ughh

I don't mind them writing a spineless main lead too. Just don't give him a spine suddenly when his partner gets annoyed eventually & wants to break up. This is not the character development you think it is.

Personally, felt the ML looks way too feminine for the role which is putting me off. I don't know if it's the makeup not suiting his chubby round face or if it's his height but felt like maybe he isn't cutout for the costume shows. It was the same in flower crew as well but atleast he wasn't the ML there, so didn't bother me much unlike here.

The premise of the show was clearly silly right from ep1. so the FL didn't bother me as much like others here coz both ML & FL aren't that bright clearly. However, I wished the mystery part could have been handled better atleast to create some intrigue. But the way it is unfolding really makes you incurious. As a result the main silly plot/theme falls really flat. Just seen the preview for ep13,14 to see if it gets any better atleast from here on but nah, they continue to be even more atrocious like the SFL & SML seem to suddenly get close despite SML hinting interest on FL throughout & SFL having been obsessed with ML till ep 12 atleast. Lol, looks like the producer had some surplus money and wanted to offload it on a show for the giggles. This is clearly one of those casual watch types you watch only if you have time to kill.

One episode in and china already surprises me with their casual fat shaming as if a fat bride is undesirable. sigh

Only blinks are hyping up that mediocre debut till date coz of her global popularity. Keep that kpop fake narrative peddling away from MDL please. You were literally lying through your teeth claiming she was praised left & right. My god, kpop idol fans insufferable quotient is unreal in fake news peddling to hype up their idol. Embarrassing. Jisoo is a terrible actor. She was mediocre or even worse in Snowdrop. Going around throwing false narratives won’t do shit. She is a very good actress that I feel really sorry for her to be typecasted into the same one dimensional roles. She is a main lead material

Not sure about others but the way guwon got the tattoo back just like that felt very underwhelming for me. Probably I was expecting something more with the whole tattoo transfer thing as it was literally the stimuli for this show from ep1. Unless they explain it in a very convincing way in next eps, the last 2 episodes were just not it compared to how the show started.

But again, it’s 16 eps, so I kinda expected to have some filler eps & scenes. Nevertheless the show is still very good.

My whole comment was about how MDL users are being looked down upon for not liking the show and here you are jotting up all that bile which has no relevance as to why majority in MDL may not like it. There’s like multitude shows that are liked Internationally & bombed in Korea & vice versa. What does that prove?

The ratings in MDL is merely a reflection of majority of MDL users not liking the show or feeling it was below average. There is nothing more to it. You cannot bring the nielsen ratings or whatever and say ‘Oh, see these many people are watching it in korea, so they know ball, you guys are dumb af in MDL’ which exactly is what you did again with that verbose above. Geez.

I never for once said people shouldn’t comment their views here. I merely contested the ‘moral high ground’ attitude some of yall have here against MDL people who didn’t like the show. In your own words, just say you like it or don't like it without trying to bring down the whole community altogether for not aliging with your interest.
