reg 3) is Not true. Miho asks her to come back in the phone call. You gotta watch the scene again I fear. I can still counter argue with every other point you mentioned but let's leave at it here. I think it ain't worth it. Unfortunately, I found her character alarmingly dumb. You can beg to differ all you want.

You literally said she had a better character arc than changho right? Interesting and character arc are different things. indeed interest varies from person to person so I can agree with you on that but she never really had a character arc at all if that's what you meant initially.
Changho is written to be perfect. That was my point in the initial comment. Instead of making it changho heavy , could have strengthened her character more to give a proper badass couple vibes.

Would like to correct 1) At that point miho doesn't know how dangerous juhee can be. so it's still a dumb move. 3) Miho first asks her to come back to korea. Hyejin didn't offer to come.
And yeah, that was my whole point if you read my initial comment. I was wishing if the writer focused to strengthen her character by giving her an arc but the focus was too heavy on changho

1) Inquiring juhee straight on her face about the necklace 2) Running inside the tunnel despite seeing everyone wearing safety kits 3) Calling hyejin back to korea for mere samples and getting her killed eventually
These aren't reckless traits but just straight up dumb. As i said, writer didn't really focus to strengthen her character as a wise one. Beg to differ but there was no character arc for her as you mention. She was the same since first episode till the last.
I hope we get another season with changho moving on with his life & getting a smart FL as his romantic interest unlike miho ;) ( I am not being harsh but just hoped the writer wrote her character better instead of portraying her as a FL that finds dumbest of the dumb ways in the name of uncovering things. Alas, guess the focus was really only on changho sadly).
Also felt that her entire death scene is so terribly shot. Like where's the emotion? Not to compare but still having seen series like FOE where moon chaewon made you bawl your eyes out with every emotional scene, being not able to feel anything here was an extremely underwhelming feeling.
It's based on a webtoon - ML does have a gf in it.
Ah alright. So I take it as an outcome of trying to fit in everything for a short series. I assume or atleast hope so that in the webtoon the romance between leads is more convincing. Here it looks so forced for me
FL acting is meh for me. Also her characterization is pretty awkward. Like how she still tries to be so close with the ML despite him saying he has a girlfriend (probably a lie but fl still doesnt know this yet) like throwing herself up close to him everytime even if the attempt is to make him remember her. I think it's the outcome of trying to fit everything inside a mini drama. Director could have done it better wrt the romance plot between the leads or kept it rather simple.
Warden would have never asked no park to save changho. I don't remember no park explicitly saying that one person asked to save him. I got a feeling it was 2 people that asked to save changho. But yeah, i could be wrong ofcourse
No park was the nig mouse no? You remember, no park said changho has to meet 'them' and not 'him'. One was soontae as we saw today. so that leaves another one i guess
So thoughts about who is the number 1 from the big 3? Looking at preview, can't be miho i think. It must be the father in law I guess. (Since no park told changho that he has to meet 'them' instead of 'him' regarding those that asked to save him.. one was soontae as we say today.. I could be wrong though ofc)
Also the pacing of today's episode was proper mad but interestingly it never felt rushed. Amazing direction
Just wanna say what a bloody good actor Kwak Dong Yeon is? The way he portrayed the duality from the first half and now. Oh my word, man is born to play lead roles imo.
I never betted on room leader because he doesn’t have the look to be BM. He’s a softie, IMO. He was a part…
Yoona has improved but sadly she isn't as good an actress as Moon chae won. I mean MCW wrt acting is several tiers above her. So we obviously cannot expect chemistry as it was in flower of evil imo.
Miho character development has been thoroughly disappointing for me. Her characterization is sadly coming off as more dumb. She literally called hyejin to comeback to korea for mere samples (the worst nonsense plot in this drama according to me) and got her killed, risking her life pointlessly to save the serial murderer today etc. I mean when she stupidly confronted juhee regarding the necklace I gave her character benefit of doubt considering she has just started unearthing the mess but from there till now, I don't see a real development of her character at all unlike changho which took a complete U turn xD
I am just convincing myself that the director spent all his creativity into turning changho as this meticulous astute male lead once he was pushed to the corner in jail.
I am very much intrigued by the fact room leader said he will introduce park changho to 'them' instead of 'him'. I was thinking it must be jerry. So intrigued who could the other person be? Something still tells me there could be a backstory with the orphanage plot.
