massively underrated. such nice plot with no love triangles, no teen-like angst. and whats interesting is that for most of the drama and for most of the characters, money, or company shares, or some CEO position is not the thing they are after. And even of they are, they are not blinded by it.
It was really refreshing to see character motivations other than financial gains.
The ML can't even decide upon whether he will keep his romantic committment or push FL away for "her sake". I con't know how such an indecisive person can exact revenge against a powerful enemy who has not once wavered in what he wanted.
Well it will be possible because of bullshit plot devices and jolly coincidences but it really tests my will to suspend my disbelief.
this drama has the amount of gruelling and suffering that I deem fit an oversmart character like the ML, who only looks at things unidirectionally and hurts others in a pathetic attempt at being noble, should go through before we can accept him and root for him,
she is extremely beautiful with long open hair on the sides (my husband got a family). however i don't like her in short hair (come jang bo ri) that much. and she looks weird with her hair in historical drama (my sassy girl)
I hate the masochist secretary type characters. They will take blame and responsibility for everything and will also be ready to be fired without explanation so easily. What do they think? that the world is saved by their sacrifice? They theink that they are above the truth and I can't bring myself to like such characters.
I remembered all over again how I hate the jerk male lead trope. Its different when ML is crafty, deceiving and possibly unlawful. Its another thing if he is too arrogant, bratty and disregarding of others. Even if he is doing bad things, there is no need to be arrogantly proud about it.
I would have liked it better if hwa young had a change of heart. Also I don't like the idea of Yoon Joong Tae's grandfather's betrayal being aassociated with him. Are they going to blame a family for a person's deeds using blood as an excuse? That is why I was not sure why Joong Tae was trying to hide the map so desperately that he committed murder.
Sure, he would not been able to be the president due to public opinion, but he could have overcome the shame somehow. He overcame his in-law's scandals so what's the problem now?
actually who has the real map means nothing. Its not the map's artisctic and material value that is at stake. Its the contents. So the real map is as good as a picture of it. I don't get the fuss about who has the real map.
Much of the problems could have been avoided had Dol Mok not created the J personna. He could have just done the deed and left. The personna building theives are those who are passionate about stealing. It is also a sense of challenge to the authorities to catch them. All this was not required in his case.

It is love by proxy. I am not able to root for it.
