I am watching it (in ep 16 now) and I recommend that you don't. The FL is a complete pushover and a proper idiot.
Her choices are eccentric to say the least.
The writer has tried to show innocent and naive characteristics in her but the result is foolishness.
Her actions seem to suggest that in her mind, everything is a joke.
She hurts Jae Hwa and her teacher (the elder dauther-in-law) emotionally and doesn't consider them worthy enough to tell the trueth or give explanations.
Her love for her mother is absurd to the point that one may worry what she believes is OK to be done to a child by a mother.
The titular character JBR is really under the mark.
**Same point with spoiler** She has decided to adopt the child. Person Who Gives Happiness is another family drama in which FL adopts an infant. However, in PWGH, FL is shown to grow attached to child over time and then decide to adopt him. It is absurd that in this drama, Bo Ri decides to adopt a child without much thought. And the thing about repaying kindness is bullshit. If she is going to be the way her mother was towards her, then she is jst bad. Otherwise, what kindness. Bo Ri now knows that she is not her mother's biological daughter. So as the mother never actually adopted her, what she had done was not kindness. She had initially tried to save herself. Afterwards, instead of adopting, she has kept BR as an expendable. She has also profited using BR's time and labour.
I am in ep 9 and Bo Ri is really annoying. They way she laughs and wobbles like an idiot is really annoying to me. She went to Seoul with MY's mother despite MY's clear no. It could imply only one thing, she was trying to sabotage MY.
The FL is the most irritating character. Especially at the end when she is hell bent on donating the liver. Even after Tae Woo has clearly objected to it. Its like she keeps Tae Woo as a pet whose only kob is to love the owner. After starting dating him, she regains her memories and almost gets together and thus, cheats with Min Young. She hurts him at the start of the revenge. Like stabbing the knife and twisting it in his heart. She repeatedly ignores his heeds to stop the revenge. After revenge is over and she is dating him again, she doesn't focus on the relationship but on Min Young. And finally the second transplant time. Why can't she take into account how Tae Woo will feel? Her only motivation in donating the liver is to be absolved of her guilt. So to solve her personal issues, shw is willing to hurt TW and his family.
I can't understand the dad. He disapproves of Gwang Jae who is immature, unrealiable and spendthrift with his dad's money. He disapproves of Yong Yi who is mature both mentally and financially but poor. He disapproves of Lawyer park who is mature, rich but doesn't love his daughter. He is a 12 yr old girl who vicariously wants a prince charming through his daughters who is rich, mature, reliable and also loves his daughter.
Really bad ending. Also I have a bone to pick with the writers trying to show that helping one's parents out in crimes or covering for them is one being filial. And most of all it doesn't makes sense for hyeon do to do so. From the beginning, he was shown to be defiant and unconcerned towards towards his parents. He even fully supported Ji Wan before the end-part of the arc. I can't believe his father collapsing could be enough for him to change sides.
This drama has good set ups but disturbing resolutions.
When Eo Yeong was breaking up with Yi Sang due to their fathers' past, the resolution was Yi Sang acted like he was dying and forced Eo Yeong to say she will not break up. When Yeon Hee business was finally out in front of Woo Mi and Hyeon Chal knew about it, the resolution was Hyeon Chal slapped Yeon Hee and aserted that Woo Mi was his wife.
I can't understand why he had to bail on her. He went to his parents house and had dinner. So it wasn't that he was working all night at his office. So if he had time, he should have met Mi Rae. He bailed on her on the first date. No one would do that if they were genuinely attracted to the other person.
I just watched ep 1. and saw Bok Ae murdering FL's father. please spoil if she is made to pay the consequences or if she is just forgiven. I mean proper consequence. Not that her children will not talk to her or she has got cancer or that she will devote her life to someone. If not, then I think I might drop the series.
This drama is not that good. There is no world building. Ghosts are basically all mighty and one cannot explain the real world with them. It doesn't make sense that the people in the drama don't know about ghosts.
Yoon Jae has been acting too condascendingly towards Hae Jun. He has not shown any likable qualities also.
Hyun Jae is too indifferent towards Mi Rae. When he started to sense his attraction towards her he ignored it. Then when his feelings got to the degree of liking her, he chose to ignore it. I don't care what bull reason he gave that he was confused if it was romance or friendship. The overall result was that he was indifferent to losing Mi Rae had Mi Rae not confessed her feelings and taken a step forward. I mean its not like he keeps in touch with all of his clients.
Soo Jae's immaturity is just ridiculuos. He is not 21 or 22. 30 yr olds don't behave that way.
not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but i like yoona and junghoo together more than her with soojae.…
although soo jae has not been that likable, I can't sense any somance between yu na and jung hoo. nonetheless, I can see the writer's pathetic attempt at it. I think the writer is keeping their options open to add a love triangle and angst when they have no ideas to write.
Mi Rae's brother is so weird. He always gives the expression that he is about to beat someone up. Even if he can't smile, he can keep a normal non-angry face.
this drama may appear very modern, fresh and new due to its visuals but it is just filled with cliches. even ep. 8 last scene with ML waiting and FL running after putting off her feelings till the 11th hour and hitting a realization in the end.
I can guess what will happen. FL will reach the spot. She will not see ML there. She will look really sad and will probably cry. Then ML will suddenly appear out of nowhere.
Kim Hye Ok has a brilliant expression that she gives while saying mean things to others, She gives a hint of a smile and acts like she has lost it but is still holding herself back. However, the problem is that she uses it way too much. In fact she uses it everytime she is upset but has not gone mental. This makes it seem that she is perpetually mad (like mentally crazy) and is putting up a farce.
