I want to say there is difference between liking xiang lu as a character and wanting him to be with xiao yao.
Most watchers seem to confuse those two.

There's no problem in liking xiang lu as a character. Because even I find him intriguing & think his backstory is pitiful & I hope he ends up happy at the end. I do not hate him at all and I can see where he comes from.

But he definitely doesn't deserve xiao yao over anyone in the drama because of the way he treated her and still treats her. I want xiao yao to be happy and I don't think she would be happy with him as a romantic partner. Xiang Liu and xiao yao both get eachother & are great as a friendship.

I watched the drama & I'm starting the novel. To deny xiang Liu abusive behaviour or say he changed is pure delusion. Him loving xiao yao is good for his character development and made him show his hidden side which is nice. You can feel the author really liked the character & wrote him realistically.

Sometimes our beloved abusive toxic characters are not owed love by the fl just because they started developing feelings for them. Xiao Yao is definitely the smartest fl I've ever read.

(This is reply to all XL defenders who bombed my other comment. Also this is the comment section of the drama. I think there's no need to police others on what & where to criticise after all these are characters not real people. It's honestly not that serious imo)

I had cleansed his page of all baseless rumours but now I'm seeing more.

I love tushan Jing. I pray they end up together. I'm tired of fls choosing toxic men over good guys.

I like that she seems to love him most for now. I only see friendship vibes with her & xiang lu.

Liking ' bad boys' is why most people end up in abusive relationships.

Plus XL & TSJ personalities aside, I feel xiao yao really loves Jing. Only ever shy & feminine for him compared to XL & CX. Even when she was a man she only ever reacted like a woman to Jing.
XL & CX love her but she has different kind of love for them which is not romantic. I want her to be happy & Jing makes her happy the most.
I never wanted their time in chenrong mansion to end

Aww but I loved him as tushan Jing in lost you forever. He did so well. He was so perfect. I'm just now learning he debuted in 2021.

Knowing how cent actors are mistreated when they have no resources you should thank God he gets cast in S+ dramas.

I hope he keeps accepting high budget dramas. He can gain experience from them too. Plus acting with experienced actors.

This is so fake especially the gong Jun being in the cast

But I really would love bai lu & gong Jun in a drama. Especially modern drama. They would look so hot. They got along so well & looked cute in that function they sang together.

They already been rumoured in multiple dramas so I know one day it will happen

Not sure if the script writers will maintain their relationship dynamics at all. They have alooot of interactions but I don't think it will be as much in the drama if they do it

The trailer looks so dreamy & cgi perfect as i expected. The cast looks so good. I cant wait. & thank you to whoever put gong jun in a white wig. They understood the assignment.

general idea: basically the story is about creatures like foxes or other kinds falling in love with humans & making sure re incarnated humans re unite with their immortal lovers in the present.
judging on the anime story then every character in there has a love interest.

though we don't know if the drama will follow the anime coz i suspect there s big changes because the anime story happens in modern times & the past is just flashbacks. the drama seems to be filming flash backs only & not present modern timeline. forexample this entire drama is about parents and aunts of characters in the other two fox spirit matchmaker parts.
