All those variety shows & endorsements came demanding for them coz they were woh cast was popular & they wanted them to boost views of their shows only. Not to promote.
Literally one week after woh aired hundreds of fans mobbed gong jun at the airport & wigs were snatched it was like he was from a boy band 😂 (actually it was scary 💔 the moment he realized he is not a nobody)
Youku didn't need to promote woh. The story & fans were doing the most job. They had a reason y they did not promote it in china though. Coz woh was bold & they didn't want the government to notice & ban it.

This is better than the psychologist objectively.

So just coz it didnt satisfy u in the last 2 eps ,it deserves 7.8 rating?

Ever since november ended, no noteworthy ALZ release.

GJ used to promote couple extensively & role play with co stars esp Begin Again with zhou yutong. They were so cute. their promotion made Begin Again become a big hit & he got many fans from it.
But ever since word of honor, he doesn't promote as much coz he is super busy & always filming other projects when he has a drama airing, and I think those production companies don't ask him & his co stars to promote or create activities for them. They always have like one interview on zoom which just makes u feel disconnected. Or interviewers keep hounding his costars with qtns about him. But they never ask gong jun about his co stars the same way.
I just wish his dramas are very highly promoted coz his fan base really knows how to hype a drama & his characters he always plays.
About youku, I think it plays favorites. Like there's a drama filming & they keep releasing their bts scenes like every 2 weeks but they have never for LOA.
I don't understand y they don't feed us at least once. I wonder if they're waiting for it to air first and charge money for them. As usual.

This drama deserves 8.6 rating and above. I don't understand why people are so unfair towards it.
Like its a crime that its 7.9.
There's a psychological drama that aired recently that was pretty bad and dream garden is better than it objectively but then they have the same rating?!
This is why I will never trust MDL ratings. They're so wack. Never ever judge a drama by MDL rating otherwise u would miss out on gem just coz some perfectionists down rate coz it wasn't perfect enough for them. I'm not ruling out mass down rating which is common on douban

I wouldn't be sad about that coz the drama ends in EP 16 so they're getting together quickly then.

But this is youku. And its not exactly known for smart marketing. They like depending on fanbases of actors.

I'm on EP 13 and I'm enjoying the story very much as at the beginning. The romance in the latest episodes excited me given it was slow banned for 11 eps.
I'm sad its about to end.

Filming slated to end by the beginning of April.
I'm happy there's no leaks from this filming process so far. They're very professional & serious.

I want gong jun in a xianxia, I really do. And if he acts alongside goddess yang mi then thats even better.
