I have a feeling that it might be last season of SH - to much controversy to organize another season. But maybe they will want to cover this one... who know?
As for F. and W. they are done i think - even if Gmmtv cast them for new year dramas - who care? According to some Thai fans I talked with, actors earn peanuts from acting gigs - if you are not very popular it difficult to live from it - 95%of their earning come from sponsorship and events attendance. Now who would want F and W to attend event or endorse products? They will probably become hot potatoes no one would want to touch.

Cultural appropriation is tricky subject - so i won't comment on blackface anymore because i truly believe actors could have not idea about meaning behind it. It was GMMTV job as company and creators of games to prevent these things.

As for "joke" agree - knowing how important seniority is in Thai I can't image how they thought it would be okay to joke like this to junior. It almost like workplace bulling.... Would F. and W. dare to behave like this to Kris, New or Gun? I don't think so.
They only dare to joke like this because it was their "junior".
GMMTV response also didn't surprise me since they didn't want to make even bigger deal out of it - but somehow i have a feeling that if it was Earth and Mix in place of First and Khao and joke was directed at junior "mix" - Earth would not let it slide and this whole fiasco would end very differently.
I think this whole situation is easily to forgive since they apologized but not easy to FORGET. For me at least.

Just few years ago Hollywood made a comedy movie about very bad historical event that took place in my country - people were pissed. But English speaking comment under movie trailer - Chill out you can't expect everyone to know, it's just a comedy / parody etc.

It made me really realize how much common knowledge differs depending on the country you are raised. Just because something is very big on English-speaking social media doesn't mean it is relevant or even talked about topic in other language media (I follow 3). I wouldn't even be able to properly translate it - because some words like racial slurs - don't even exist in my native language.

You talk about educating - but how much you know about big-no no of other countries like Chile, Germany, and Iran for example? You really can't expect bunch of 20yo raised in Thailand to be aware about these things - if you check Twitter - even most of Thai fans were confused about why international fans were not happy.

Not so sure - we never saw bright win much in variety shows setting... To tell you the truth Bright always come to me as kinda cold / standoffish but just few days ago i saw some twitter videos from some event - they way he just naturally clung and hugged Gun made me realize we just don't know how he interact in more private setting.
Having him and Win in SH could be really eyes opening.

To answer your question - probably not. As a person who was not raised in USA and in a country that have nothing to do with slavery etc. i didn't understand what was wrong with doing blackface until I read some English article about it. Even then i needed to read some supplementary things - because I didn't share history and culture to fully understand it. I was not raised in a place where these things took place.

What I want to say - a bunch of 20 yo raised in Thailand culture who probably don't speak English have no idea.
Just because something is common knowledge in one country doesn't mean it is true for others.

Anyway, GMMTV as a company that wanted to expand internationally is the one that dropped the ball.

Knowing how important seniority is in Thai I really can't blame juniors for atmosphere seniors set.
Its hammered to them since young after all.
That's why i really think if they re-casted Foei and White the overall atmosphere would be a lot healthier.

They really flunked casting for this season. In the previous seasons I liked how members bonded and get to know each other better with many cute and funny moments. It was a place that build new friendships in a supportive environment. But at this point, I don't believe anyone has fun there or anything I liked about SH is still there

We have four newcomers Gemini, Fourth, Prom, Perth - They are young and don't know anyone for the most part.
Then we have Tay, New - seniors who try to take care of newbies - when New was still there it was okay but after he left poor Tay was outnumbered.
FirstKhao and Chimon are still okay

But Foei, White, Mond and Sing? They are seniors who are part of the main problem.
Mond and Sing have almost no presence and keep to their already closed-up group while Foei and White are most senior members after Tay and New - but divide their group rather than bringing it closer.
After day 5 I really felt like kicking them out due to their "joke" and teasing ( or bulling depending or how sensitive you are) and wishing they would bring Gun, Earth, Kris or Off to set the mood right.

Really love the story - I want to make it clear.
But actor who play Bew... he is not bad but very .... marionette like - he is doing everything he is supposed to but it's clear he is acting.... he took me out of the story more than once during the recent episode...

Most Bl fans jump on when romance part start - for now we had one "accidental" kiss if you compare it with Love in the Air - romance plot line is still pretty weak.
But it can quickly change when show concentrate more on romance aspect.

Make even more sense when you think it from a pragmatic way Cm family is from lower middle class or rich poor - but they don't keep in touch so he is pretty much on his own. He worked various jobs before he could open his restaurant - and now its his livelihood - sink or swim situation.

Also he stated on live that he and HJ (who live in gangan and work there) have about 45 minutes one way to each other and he felt bad that HJ was always the one to come to him and he couldn't reciprocate

There was a whole explanation about it. But to state only main points:
He thought he was ready and really wanted to find someone. He also thought he could make it work but as he got back to his life as new solo restaurant owner he found out he don't have time to fully commit to relationship ( like not some casual relationship but real relationship he always wanted to have)
He is perfectionist (my observation) so he isn't ready to commit to something if he isn't sure that it work.
Not like us - let's try but like he think he need like 90% chances it don't fail.

To sum it up from my observation - they like each other but Cm want to have perfect conditions to date before seriously dating someone he also too scared to hurt JH in future if things don't work out.

Ok to explain the final situation
- Cm and JH did 6+ hours live together to explain their relationship status

JH was late due to rain so he appeared in 1h. 20-30 or something like this.
To sum it up they meet after the program ended few times - but Cm is busy with his restaurant so jh was the one who come to find him. At one point they were drinking late at some bar and jh proposed he sleep over at Cm place....
- Cm called friends over making Jh think he was not interested in him so he stopped contacting him. He mentioned seeing Cm exes pictures ( not exactly sure how it happened), and he really was not the same type as them - making him even more sure that Cm was not into him.
- From Cm side we learn that he was feeling sexual tension and knew that something would happen if he didn't call friend over - ( I know 🤦🤦🤦)

This segment we aren't together but still have a good relationship took about 30 min.

leaving us with the remaining 4,5h - I was not there all the time but they talked, answered some questions and played games. As some comments stated 30m of why we aren't in a relationship and 4,5h why they should try harder.

- ALSO - HJ WAS BULLED ON THE SHOW BY ONE OF THE FELLOW MEMBERS. It was older person who had a crush on Cm and everyone on the house knew about it except Cm ( He learned about it on live). JH even cried about it once on the show ( after the lake date). He stated that person acted all nice to everyone but was super mean to him - so he was really surprised that someone older can act like this. JH also said he will not mention that person name because he moved on and he will try to not encounter that person again.


To sum it up - 🤷🤷🤷🤷

I wouldn't say Taley is poorly written - I read novel to episode 3. Its more a problem of bad adaptation.
