guys, can you give your honest opinion on the drama? i wanna hear sum
I like it a lot. The fl is a smart hardworking reporter who doesn't have much experience in romantic relationships so depends on her best friend, who actually is just as clueless about love as her, for advice. The ml is a CEO who the fl interviews. Unkown to the fl, the ml has been crushing on her for years. Don't mind the ratings. It's better than a lot of cdramas with higher ratings. it just got nitpicked to pieces. Flaws that are common in cdramas are exaggerated by antis here.
Mr. and Mrs. Shi just got crowned iQiyi's Scream God and Goddess! 👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣💕💕💕https://x.com/ChuQiao18/status/1728426683815116870?s=20
iQiyi Scream God two years in a row! He is the first in iQiyi history to achieve this feat 🥰 'So glad his work in Unchained Love, Never Give Up and Youth in the Flames of War were also recognized 🥰
They are just following the novel script because that is how it went in the novel. Don't know why everyone is…
i also just wanted to watch and enjoy sharing my experience with other kindred-spirit. but many just wanted to find fault with it. Flaws that have been ignored in other dramas like camera angle, wardobe, filter have been blown out of proportion 🤨
as if no other cdrama has misunderstandings. there are many cdramas i dropped due to misunderstandings. this one i did not because of the compelling characters
I can't help swooning everytime I think of Shi Yan liking Shu Yi first time he saw her 3 years ago 🥰 And he has been keeping that secret to himself all these years 🥰
Shu Yi in a tree...his "fair lady"....I love this guy!Shu Yi makes it clear she still loves him. I am baffled…
I think that's the purpose of the writer for adding a Yi Yang character. To prove Shu Yi's love for Shi Yan. She feels zero romantic feelings towards this highly attractive and successful Yi Yang who does not hide the fact that he's crazy about her. For all her flaws, she is faithful to Shi Yan.
That’s what it had, the stars, and that’s what kept people watching. Without them there would be little to…
The stars proved that they are worthy to be called stars.
Bai Lu's Shu Yi is such a complex character - smart, hard-working with strong work ethics, good daughter and many other good qualities. Yet, she is flawed. As her mother said, she's spoiled. She's self-centered and selfish. She wouldn't have agreed to flirt ot toy with a guy otherwise. Another flaw is her compunction to lie. And this led to her contant inner turmoil. A less capable actress would have made this character obnoxious. But Bai Lu made her likeable.
Dylan played Shi Yan to perfection. He's innately reserved and taciturn but warm. He has to try to look stoic, capable and mature when dealing with business associates especially those who undermine his capabilities due to his youth and lack of experience. His dignified demeanor oozes "silver spoon" upbringing. But he shows vulnerability when with Shu Yi. Another complex character portrayed perfectly.
Good for you if you enjoy this drama, but it's ok for people to acknowledge that the drama isn't very good. I…
I might not have made myself clear. Antis, not me, claim it's "trashy", as if cdramas have the best writing and direction in the world. Though I like cdramas, i am pretty aware that they cannot compete with American and British shows in terms of writing and direction. Yet critics of this drama have nitpicked it as if it's the only cdrama that has these flaws. Some have even claimed there's "no plot". Those who understood the plot therefore know that the criticisms are not valid thus watched and enjoyed it despite the many attempts to discredit it
Well there is something at this drama that nobody can’t deny and that is popularity😘
Those who like this drama understand the story and characters so they know the criticisms are not valid and are just feeble attempts to undermine the drama
not bad at all. it’s slow burn. the leads took their time to get together which for me is perfectly okay, i…
yup, I really like the slow-burn romance. it's more realistic. anyway, it's not the quantity but quality of kisses that matters. Bai Lu and Dylan sure know how to kiss 😊
Choose your battles. There's no use arguing with those who don't try to understand what you're trying to say just as they don't try to understand this drama and its characters. When people criticize you personally, you've won. So those who have been called airhead, braindead or blind, cheer up. As Margaret Thatcher said, “... if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single (political) argument left.”
So on to cheering for our drama. I wonder if the critics of this drama realize that the more "trashy" they claim it to be, the more they're making it obvious how formidable the stars are. Bai Lu and Dylan Wang are able to carry this drama to great heights even with what antis claim are "trashy" script and direction. But those who understand the story and characters of this drama know that such criticisms are not true so they don't get swayed by the attempts to defame it.
Putting this here so everyone is on the same page. Here is the google definition of anti - someone who enjoys writing, discussing or in some cases making derivative works about a piece of media, but solely for the purpose of railing against or parodying it.
What does "railing against" mean? It means criticizing. So if you say the script of a drama is bad, trash, beyond saving, etc, or you claim a drama has no plot or makes no sense, you are an anti of that drama. Somebody who gives a drama a 1-star or similarly low score is an anti.
What does "parodying" mean? Per Oxford Languages, a parody is a humorous or mocking imitation of something, using the same form as the original. A parody is a form of humor that spoofs . In the context of this thread, it means making fun of the drama.
In summary, if you criticize or make fun of something, accortding to Oxford Languages, you are an anti.
I hope this is clear. Anti is not a slur, definitely not the same as how those who like the drama are being called airheads or braindead.

That's a true measure of greatness, being able to overcome, through extraordinary talent and charisma, such a deluge of attempts to defame this drama.
